It's so cool.

Great job Amy, and nice userbar by the way!!
Great song. Autlang sounds quite good musically :grin:

I wrote a haiku:

Brin zokn jilnez,
Terkunz en qarkunz bi jylz,
Lurne ky renl.

Translation/Rosetad:
Light sunny saturdays,
Boys and girls play games,
Tomorrow it may rain.

New words:
zok: sun
zokn: sunny
ter: male
qar: female
kun: child
terkun: boy
qarkun: girl
jyl: game
lurne: tomorrow
ky: may
ren: rain
roseta: translate

Also, Dave, if 'lurne' is pronounced 'learn' (roughly). then I suggest we drop the 'e'.  It makes me want to say 'learn-ay'.

lurne is actually a combination of two words 'lur' and 'ne' ('next' and 'day'). I think 'ne' is pronounced 'nee'.

Please add these to the page:
lur: next
pur: previous
purne: yesterday

I just found a duplicate word: 'bin' can mean both 'pass by' and 'playing'. We really should be careful with nouns ending with 'n', 'l' or 'd'.
I suggest 'bik' for 'pass by'

I think we may need regular 'clean-ups' of Autlang, to apply to changing rules, for example, maybe change words ending with 'l', 'n', 'd' or 'z'
I've just had a look through Keeno's list. A few of them have already been added, like 'dog' (ak) 'man' (ter) 'woman' (qar). We seem to be adding prefixes and suffixes to existing words to create new words, to keep things simple, e.g. I added an 'r' to 'te' (he) and 'qa' (she) to make 'ter' and 'qar' (male and female).

I've also spotted another double word - "cold=qar" - as seen above, qar=female/woman. We need another word for cold.
Ji gal. Ji wad konen pin ket. :smile:

Verbs:
to Shop=Kone
Shopping=Konen

Nouns:
Shop=Kon
City=Met
Town=Ket
Good list of words, nathanw, but I think many internationally-known terms, such as wi-fi and WiMax, and acronyms such as DSL should remain the same. I've also spotted a duplicate entry. to program = wax and wax = one hundred. Another thing, I've seen some verbs in your list that end with consonants. Verbs in Autlang should really end with a vowel, so that they can be prefixed with 'd', 'e', 'n' and 'l' to create past, negative, present and future tensed words.

Computer words you've missed which I'll add:
Load = Luda
Save = Seva
Ah, so here's the thread that puts an end to my lurking again... I have a question and an idea/suggestion:

Firstly: What are the stress rules for autlang? English stress is needlessly complex.

Secondly: In a model language of my own, I had a mood modifier for verbs to indicate whether it was meant literally or not (irony & sarcasm , for example, being two things I am not very good at). Of course, where autlang is concerned, this might not be a good idea, as it could be designed to be as literal a language as possible (with a whole lot of very specific verbs), though I personally don't think that'll work out as the language grows.

Also, more importantly: very good work, all! Smile
Words like 'do' and 'don't' aren't really needed in Autlang, as an 'e' can be added to the verb (undusta) to make it negative.

Please add:
Understand = Dusa
I understand = Ji dusa
I don't understand = Ji edusa
I understood = Ji dusad
Want = Seku
Need = Duka

        I've tried to make sure none of the words I made up have already been used. If I made a mistake there feel free to correct me. Also I did use some 5 letter words, though I don't think this language should use any words beyond 5 letters. It just makes it easier for designing a language. Five letters is the max you can fit into 1 syllable. I think we'll hafta make this slight expansion to try and focus every word into the parimeter of either 1 syllable or 4 letters, but if need be it can go up to 5 letters. But no more. And no more than 2 syllables max, but we should try for 1 syllable words.
sometimes you use q and c in similar words, and when they being spoken it may be hard to tell the difference. For example, numbers 0 and 2, 0= qo, and 2= co.
Yeah that makes since. I didn't know that before but now I do, thanks.
