60's garage rock, early punk (Sex Pistols, Ramones, Penetration, The Fall, Metal Urbain, GG Allin, Nina Hagen, MC5, The Stooges), Early Hardcore, Power pop, Garage punk, Billy Childish, Surf music (especially Dick Dale, The Ventures, The Surfaris, Man or Astroman?, Tijuana Bibles), Post-punk, Old Blues recordings, stuff like The Long Blondes, The Violets, Neils Children, Alice and The Enemies and Anal **** (So bad, they're good!).
I even know the Bass player for the Klaxons, as well as the Violets. I even write for a punk and indie fanzine and even interviewed Micheal Graves from The Misfits on his political views. I know this sounds like bragging, but it's true!

I like Björk and early Judy Henske. For now I am listening a lot to several "wire-tapper"-CDs. Comes free with certain issues of Wire and contains hot stuff. Listens also a lot to Sonic Youth, the JHE, John Lee Hooker, ChadKlappMüntz, the Polyphonic Spree...

Down In The Park Lyrics :
"Down in the park
Where the machmen meet
The machines are playing `kill-by-numbers
Down in the park with a friend called `five
I was in a car crash
Or was it the war?
Well, Ive never been quite the same
Little white lies like I was there
Come to zom-zoms, a place to eat
Like it was built in one day
You can watch the humans
Try to run
Oh, look, theres a rape machine
Id go outside if it looks the other way
You wouldnt believe
The things they do
Down in the park
Where the chant is death, death, death
Until the sun cries morning
Down in the park with friends of mine
We are not lovers
We are not romantics
We are here to serve you
A different face but the words never change"
Anyone wanting to check out some Numan stuff, that's not a bad list and takes out all the singles pretty much and tries to steer you towards some of the better album tracks and b sides whilst creating a playlist that offeres different styles of music.

The Cure (is there any more appropriate name for a band?)... they really saved me, ha.
Also Neutral Milk Hotel, The Clash, Belle and Sebastian, David Bowie, Aterciopelados, and some more I don't remember right now...

I thank Amy for introducing me to Gary Numan's music, which is awesome! I now have some of it stored in my iTunes, and I'm listening to it right now.
Gary Numan was diagnosed with AS.
Tim

Where did you get that info from, I have been a Numan fan for years an him having AS is very rarely mentioned suffice to say his missus noticed it and said have you ever considered this is something you might have?

My "favorite" band/artist usually changes every few days, so there are a lot of bands I really like: Red Hot Chili Peppers, Beck Hansen, Pavement, Modest Mouse, Metric, Nirvana, Queen, Bob Dylan, The White Stripes, AC/DC, Blind Melon, The Pixies, The Police, Sublime, Neutral Milk Hotel, The Frogs, Spoon, Incubus (their first two albums, anyway), Love Among Freaks, The Cure, and many more I can't think of right now.

Me too! I am so excited, have you seen the play?
On another forum, someone asked if "the gays" were interested in seeing the movie "Mama Mia" and the first response said:
"It's a movie, it's a musical, it's ABBA, it's Meryl Streep -- what do you think?
the equivalent for a straight man would be if Kobie Bryant opened a HomeDepot that was totally staffed by Hooters waitresses and they were giving away cold Bud Light."

I'm probably going to attend a Beck concert next month...
