quite a lot spanning from the 101ers to zz top. i mainly listen to all types of 80s music, punk/oi!/old american hardcore, goth/industrial, classic rock, late 80s-early 90s rap, 50s, 60s, 90s music up til 1995, etc. i don't care for much after 1995 though. everything went south then, so i discovered punk.
don't like gogo, opera, country post-1989, and disco.

king of my soundscape is Steve Roach and all his collaborations, Brian Eno, Harold Budd and pretty much anything on somafm.com's "dronezone" all swirly ambient no-beats walls of keyboard and organic trance stuff. Which is pretty much the opposite of what i play live, which is psychedelic country surf-jazz on baritone guitars.

When it comes to my favorite band/singer, there are just too many to list. But here are some of my favorites:
Disturbed, Seether, Staind, Linkin Park, Adema, Papa Roach, Green Day, Three Days Grace, AFI, Sum 41, Gob, Calcutta, Taproot, Evanescence.

I am always playing metal, rock, SOME pop and stuff either on my itunes, ipod, or on youtube.
Right now I'm listening to Metallica's St. Anger. And after it ended for the hundredth time, switched to All American Reject's Move Along.
My band list:
Metallica
Evanescence
Tatu
Linkin Park (Only one song. Numb. I don't like the others I've heard)
Rammstein
Green Day
All American Rejects
PANIC! At the disco (I love that name)
Slipknot (Not really, I'm just still trying to see if there's a song I can stand. Most of Slipknot's songs are bad)
Pink Floyd
Concave Cross (I made that band up, harharhar)
Myy band list is growing quickly as I add stuff to it and I decide to look for the songs of some band somebody mentioned. All American Rejects was mentioned by my somewhat-friend Zack.
I used to like jPop, but I abandoned the genre for some reason. I still like it, but I've gone quite picky about it, picking out the good voices from the bad voices, just like what I do with metal.
I hate Jazz, (even random Jazz organs in songs like Evanescence's song Your Star annoys me) Rap, the trendy shit with a lot of voice sliding (don't know the name of the genre) that girls in New Britan like to listen to as well as rap, R&B, really bad metal, and some other genres I can't put my finger.

I thank Amy for introducing me to Gary Numan's music, which is awesome! I now have some of it stored in my iTunes, and I'm listening to it right now.
Gary Numan was diagnosed with AS.

I don't know if I have a specific artist that I'm partial to, but I do like classic rock.

System of A Down, Demon Hunter, Project 86, KoRn, POD, Linkin Park (Their new CD was disgusting), Wednesday 13, Seether, Static-X, Rammstein, and the Dresden Dolls (not very much like everything else)
And Slipknot. The greatest Nu metal band besides KoRn.
yay for nu-metal! ^^
