Hello Mrs. Steve, Mrs. Dame Stephanie Shirley, ici Ilja,
I'm from Holland, 43 years old, first generation after the war, raised in the Jewish Tradition &:
Ich bin ein Autist.
Browsing through Your website I found the questions & answers. The last two of Your answers on the second page I don't understand, here they are:
"Yes, my lifetime is now to help defeat the condition of autism through remedies aimed at prevention."
"I was born in Germany in the 1930’s, of a German Jewish father. In order to escape the horror of the Nazis, I was sent to England on a kinder transport where I was fostered by a couple from the Midlands and was only able to see my family after the war."
How can You reconcile these two answers for Yourself?
You support Autism Speaks (NAAR) & this is one of the organisations with the main purpose: Performing genetic research to produce a prenatal test on Autism. This will be in the end used for abortion of Autistic Humans.
You're Jewish, I assume, thus obligated to cherish life. You fled from Germany on Your tenth for the people that then wanted to eradicate Jews, Gypsy's, Coloured, Gay's & the Feeble Minded. Now You’re funding one of the organisations that want to do the same to Autists.
Would You reconsider Your funding of Autism Speaks, & withdraw it?
So many good organisations really want to help Autists & their parents, or expose abuse of Autists. Who don't pursue prenatal testing & still allocate Your funding in a properly manner.
I hope You misquoted Yourself in the answer about Autism because You do so much good.
Sincerely:
Ilja Ruben Witsel, Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
Gareth Nelson, Aspies For Freedom, U.K.
