I have an Idea...Why don't we all come up with a language! I'm sure most people here are linguists.
If we used this language we'd be able to tell whos an aspergian or an NT!
What do you guys/girls/ think.....is it worth a try at least?
if so.....then can I know what linguist would be interested!(I'm curious...)
 This is a great idea! I love the name Autlang, Amy, it sounds like a real language already.
However it's done, it would have to be relatively easy to learn, so that even those who find learning new languages somewhat difficult could learn it quickly.
We need words for specification like there are in latin.
Go to this link! It has an excellent tutorial!
http://www.langservices.net/language_creation.html
Those are good....and yes lets call it "Autlang!"
One thing we should have in mind is how to form a sentence using these words....the language would be meaningless if we copied the English language. Remember, this is supposed to represent how we are viewed to NT's somewhat normal, and very confusing  . I say it should be a language that we alone should understand!
on another note: I've come up with a few sentence structure suggestions. to make them easy to under stand I'll use the sentence "I have Aspergers".
1. This one is similar to the Japanese sentence structure(subject-object-verb)
The structure instead is (object-subject-verb) so for example:
English: I have Aspergers.
would be:
Autlang: Aspergers I have.
2. This one is backwards so it would be (Verb-Object-Subject).
English: I have Aspergers.
would be
Autlang:Have Aspergers I.
Thats all I have I'll come up with more later......well what do you guys think?[/url]
go back to the main page-either click the back button, or re-enter the url. and click Chatroom.
alright I'm gonna try to get into the room now....give me a moment...
one thing we should consider(but it may not be as important) is how to spread it around to the aspergians and autisic people out there......
1. So far things look good. I just want to make a note: It should be very easy to look at a written word in Autlang and know how it's going to be pronounced. Like Amy listing 'r' and 'j' as words; I'm not sure how she intended those to be pronounced.
2. The chatroom: Is the autlang chat open to all ages? Because I'm only 14.
3. Is there going to be a specific time of day when the Autlang chatroom is particularlly full? I want to know that if I go in there, it won't be empty.
Wait, wait, wait! We can't just start coming up with words just yet.....we have to establish vowel sounds and consanants first-it makes the language more different and less confusing to learn, but still keeps it difficulty for NTs to learn.
for example: the English vowels are A E I O U.
what if ours were O, I(as in light), A(as in at), E (as in Elite) and E (as in Ella)....
if we establish these things first....it will be a LOT more effective....
I might not be on the chat room for a time being(I have to get a new laptop first), so keep me updated on what progress was made
...wow, I can't believe all of this started because of me......how exciting.....
Ideas for yes and no?
Yes: Raze(Rah-zeh)
No: Derc
So, "ja" is I and ra is you....okay so what about tenses like "your/you're" or "me"
maybe if we added a "-no". for example,
your would be "ja" + "-no" = "Ja-no"
Me would be "ra" + "-no" = "ra-no"
pretty good huh?....huh?.....huh???
Yesterday we came up with a few phrases:
Ji la Autlang = I speak Autlang
Fe zaru ra = We welcome you
Ji sad = I sang/I have sung
Fe me ra = We thank you
Adding a 'd' to the end makes a verb past tense.
alright!  , now we're really cooking!!!
okay, so what sentence structure are we following...are we going to use the english structure...or use one of the ones I posted earlier....
That is good. I am writing it all down in notepad and will add it to the webpage I am making so we can keep all the ideas together.
Edit: Actually to keep it shorter what about just the n without the o?
GAAAAH! WHAT IS IT WITH EVERYONE CORRECTING MY IDEAS...  :pfff:
good timing, we need a written system for these words, and was wondering if you could help....
 Maxie, that was cool, I only have a few comments to make:
'I' writen 'Ji' sounds like the 's' in plesure and then 'I' sounds like 'eh'
I was under the impression this would be pronounced gee (like 'gee whiz').
'we' writen 'fe' sounds like 'feh'
I was the one who came up with this word and I very deffinitely indicated that it was pronounced 'fay'.
Also, the 'z' plural is not definite yet. There were some objections to it on the basis that it sounded to similar to simply adding an 's' like in English.
Otherwise, I think you got it exactly right.
I just want to add that we decided verbs begin with constonents and nouns with vowels.
So far that is the only rule we have on the structure of words (other than that they should all be as short as possible).
