As a matter of fact, caffeine helped me a lot when I was younger (still does I think). When I'm in the sun a lot I get tired easily. A drink of coke/pepsi always got me back to normal.

Caffeine does nothing for me, neither as a stimulant nor to calm me down. My mother thinks it makes me aggressive, but that's because she only seems to notice I'm drinking caffeine when I'm PMSing.

Hi I am new. My older daughter has taken every med for ADHD starting at age 3 and I took her off all at the age of 13. She has ADHD, nerocognitive disorder, central auditory disorder, OCD and I cant remember the rest they labeled her with.
Now my son is taking a new med called Daytrana. It is a patch that her wears for 7 hours. I like it. And he seems to eat more on the patch then off. He is 7 and is only about 40 pounds. And very tall which make the 40 pounds seem unnormal. Very skinny. He also has Hyperlexia.

Mum used to give me weak coffee from when I was about 8. I think it was a bit of a social thing. We used to sit in the kitchen early in the morning and then at morning and afternoon tea times if it was the weekend or holidays. My brothers and I used to fight over the kitchen stools though.
I've taken a lot of meds for anxiety and depression with mixed success. The best ones I found were Mogadon and Efexor. The SSRI I took was pretty bad, and so was Xanax. I got a paradoxical reaction from Xanax and in fact got more agitated and stroppy than ever.
The other one I now take (and have been told has been used in conjunction with other meds as a mood stabiliser) is Epilim. I don't have epilepsy but apparently, it still helps some people with Aspergers become calmer and less anxious. I think it has helped a bit.
