Doesn't metal affect the taste of water?

I think some cans they coat the inside with some sort of plastic, either that or they uise a metal that doesn't degrade into the liquid inside, so I don't think that's it.
I think it's because most people who buy bottled water don't plan on drinking it all at once. That happens with soda, but with water it's different because you can usually find a fountain or a faucet somewhere for free. So no one's going to pay for just a quick chug. Also, you can reuse bottles, but not cans, so that's another factor.

Canned water? It comes in bottles, but never cans, why? :?:
It's quite common here, actually. As far as the fizzy varieties go, that is.

I think you're on to something. I would always choose a bottle for water, for that very reason. Perhaps it is simply a matter of buyers choosing, over time.

I wanted still, not fizzy.

hmmmm, all the still water I see in shops is always in bottles
Maybe we should start selling water in cans

I actually have a CAN of water made by Anheuser-Busch, Inc. They were distriputed in Lousiana in '05. but I have not tasted it, so there is no telling what it may taste like.

So long as it tastes like H2O, no problem. But if it starts to taste like that awful Dihydrogen Monoxide, I'd advise you to get rid of it...
