How can people support Autiblogger who don't need a blog host?
Um... I'm not too sure. It's a very new idea now (only about two days old). Perhaps I could speak to my friend and see if it could dually be used as a networking site which lists non-Autiblogger blogs somewhere, too...
I don't know how quickly she'd get that part up and running. I think she might still be working out the kinks in how it is now. But for the future, I'll talk to her about it.

How can people support Autiblogger who don't need a blog host?
Hi Natalia,
I'm Lori who made autiblogger. Right now, the only kind of support that is needed is some fundraising to try to get Autiblogger, Aspieland, Gestalt (Sophist's site), and a few other sites off of the shared host they are on, and onto a dedicated, or more realistically, a virtual private server. The VPS costs many times more per month than the shared server, but it would be a better environment to host the sites for many reasons.
If anyone is interested in helping with that, I will be setting up a few things soon, such as a way to donate through paypal, and a way to sell books and t-shirts and maybe cds/dvds where 50% of the profits would go towards the hosting (the other 50% goes to pay for the service, t-shirts, artists, etc.).
The sites are running fine on the shared server for now, and I have a lot of space and bandwidth paid in advance for another year. I would just feel better if they were in a more secure environment than shared hosting can provide.

Sounds good!
Nice blog Jesse
I have added a '
support autiblogger' page with a way to donate through paypal or sign up for a $10 monthly subscription if anyone is interested. I am still working on the t-shirts and books, but may wait until beta testing is complete before adding it to the site.
Thanks

I may be able to contribute some designs if you send ideas of what you are looking for.

Thanks! That's great  I would like to make (and/or for someone else to make) a few designs for Autiblogger t-shirts.
The technical requirements for the t-shirt images are:
Resolution: 300dpi
Color Mode: A .TIF or .TIFF file in CMYK color mode, or a .PNG in RGB color mode is fine.
Image Size: Maximum size is 14 inches wide X 15 inches high.
File format: .pngs, .gifs, and .tif files are best, .jpg files are also acceptable, but not ideal. Please use transparent backgrounds, otherwise your background color will print on the shirt. Jpg files don't support transparency.
I'm an artist but unfortunately my talents are sort of relegated to paper. (Not too good with comp art. At least nothing spectacular.) :?

If anyone does have a jpg and/or a scanned image, and is not a photoshopping type, you can email it to me and I can attempt to get it closer to the right format. Depending on the original image, it may be possible to end up with something that will work for a t-shirt. Do you have a scanner Sophist?
Yes, but I wish I knew how to work it. lol
Nice blog
