Gary Numan
Steve Clark - Def Leppard

Glenn Gould - Canadian composer and musician  (although he really might have had autism rather than AS)
Stevie Ray Vaughan, guitarist

He had autism or maybe AS?  I met him and he just thought of everyone as a key of music.  He would say to people "I think you are a Bflat type of person."  Interesting.

You met SRV? Wow. He was such an inspiration to me and I was gutted when he died.

I met him, however briefly.  I was working security/tickets at a Dire Straits show in Toronto and he was opening.  (I think).  This was before he met his wonderful girlfriend.  At the time he was hanging around with some sleazy yucky thing.  He was also taking lots and lots of drugs I was told.

Prince also has AS.  I don't think he is a very nice person.  He had a baby who died and blamed his wife.

How do you know about prince?

He used to live in my city and I was in a theatre and he was there with his wife.  He was really being a jerk to his wife and I said something to him.  He said "Have you ever heard of Asperger's?" like it was some excuse to be a jerk.  I told him that I had AS too.

Where does it say these people have AS?

Some information is not just regurgitated from print articles or the internet.  There are other sources of information.  Keeping in mind that some sources are more reliable than others and then some facts will be false.  - at your own risk to quote

What he said to his wife was really mean.  He blamed her for the baby's death.  He might have thought that she felt sad about it too.  That is what I said to him.  Or it could have been some of his fault as well.  Then he said he was going to get a divorce.  Maybe he was very depressed.  I think that having your baby die is a very difficult time for anyone.

I don't think that having AS is a good excuse for being unkind to others.  I sometimes unintentionally said bad things to people but I really do not want other people to suffer.  I have caused enough suffering because of my face blindness (two people killed themselves).
I thought that maybe the guitarist from AC/DC:  Angus Young was autistic because of the way he plays with rocking and knees up and down.  It is all an act.  So I do not know if he has autism or not.  I don't think so.
Did Joey Ramone have autism?  I don't think he had Asperger's though.  He did spend some time in hospitals.  I need more information.

I've always thought that Eddie Van Halen had it after listening to him give an interview.
Eddie Van Halen suffers from alcoholism.  He would just stay up all night and day playing his guitar without noticing the time.  I really couldn't say that I have enough information about him to say whether he has autism or not.

there is a mistake in Glenn Gould's death date?  If he died in 1982, then how was he recording in 1987?

David Byrne from Talking Heads has it. He's even publicly acknowledged it. I also think Kate Bush is a strong candidate. Perhaps Maynard James Keenan from Tool as he is VERY eccentric. Just look at how he performs on stage for proof of that!
Maybe Prince was misdiagnosed with Asperger's.  He probably has narcissism.
