I thought it would be interesting to find more famous musicians who are aspies. The only 2 I know are:
Craig Nicholls (The Vines)
Katie-Jane Garside (Daisy Chainsaw, Queen Adreena)
are there any others?
Bob Dylan is very likely in my opinion, having studied.
How do you know about prince?
And Katie Jane Garside? *faints* I´m such a big fan of hers!
Where does it say these people have AS?
I always use AS as an excuse to act like a jerk!
I´m so glad to finally have an excuse for my tantrums and all...
What about Katie Jane Garside?
Anyone know more about her?
Oh, and Prince...
Stevie Ray Vaughn would´ve probably called him "A Minor" person...
Watch this interview with Katie Jane Garside. If she isn't aspie, who is?

My mum keeps saying it's obvious that she is. My friends just point out how she talks and acts like I do :?
I don´t have a sound card, so I can only see her facial expressions and gestures...
They´re so much like mine, too!
Has anyone of you ever heard of an electronic project called ASTROMETRY ?

Very interesting, especially Courtney Love.
I've been thinking about that, too.
She doesn't notice, when her behaviour is inappropriate, she has strange obsessions and special interests (Greek mythology, English literature, Stevie Nicks, buddhism, feminism, Edie Sedgwick) and she speaks in that affected drawl.
She doesn't withdraw a lot, though, to the dismay of many.
Two more that I suspect of having AS would be John Wardle, aka Jah Wobble, primarily of Public Image Ltd, and meany other projects. He more or less picked up a Bass without any prior knowlege, and in a few months was nominated the best new Bassist by an apparently influential British musicians magazine. In the late 80's he walked away from being a well known, influential musician to work for the London Underground.
The other musician that I would suspect of AS would be the guitarist Buckethead.
I'm convinced Thom Yorke is an aspie. 100%. Matt Bellamy too. I saw Muse on Tuesday, absolutely amazing. Being 6 feet away from your hero is just an amazing feeling.
georgewilson, you seem to know a lot about these people so I will accept and respect your advanced knowledge.
I can see Prince could very easily fit the diagnosis, I don't know anything about the other people you list.
I've heard other people mention it, and after seeing the documentary ' American Hardcore', I would have to agree that Greg Ginn of Black Flag is highly likely to have AS, as well as his brother, who did all the old SST records album covers under the pseudonym of Raymond Pettibon.
PS: SST records came out about by coinidentally, as the main focus of SST prior to Black Flag was the repair and sale of Solid State radio Transmitters, hence the abbrieviation SST, for Solid State Transmitters.
