My school has around 750 pupils, its a secondary school with ages 10-18 and is private, i am the only dx aspie i know of in the school, there was another girl who i've been told about a teacher who has now left. There is a girl in my year who i suspect is an aspie aswell because she acts very similar to me. In other years i am not sure because the information isn't publishised.
well at my school we have a seperate unit for kids with AS at the moment there are 10 in there and more outside
There's a guy in the grade under me who has Aspies. He is one of the most awesome people I know, due to the fact that he refers to his thumb as a seperate entity, and frequently converses with it.

Beyond that, I don't know any other Aspies, but I do know two Autistics (on the high end and the low end of the scale) two grades below me.

How would someone know?

x2.  Aside from word of mouth, do open records exist about students with an official diagnosis?

i found out recently that i am the only dx autistic person in my school,
There's me, a girl that I've known since I was ten (My mother accidently told me that she was autistic), and a two I suspect:
One who I don't think is offiically diagnosed, and one who I think is autisic since I think she also has a IEP.
Maybe be other's in my school of 1,200.  I'll have to keep my eye out in other grades.
Besides me, I only know one.
I only know of myself at my university, and I haven't met anyone else who I'd think has it. Unfortunately I don't have the 'aspiedar' that a lot of people here seem to have so its possible I don't recognise it in others.
Apparently there are "several" at my son's primary school which has nearly 500 pupils.  Assistant Head told me this last week.  She also said that they were all "sweet and charming" and less trouble than a lot of the other, NT, children!
I could think of 9 kids that are either in my sons class or the class ahead that are on the spectrum somewhere. I'm not sure which are classified as Aspies specifically.
There's a kid in two of my classes who saids he has AS and ADHD, so I must say, there's only 1 AS student at my school that I know of (other than me).
