1)  Since "flowers" is plural, "blossom" should also be plural.  Also, "the" is doubled.

2)  70.  (30 divided by 1/2 is not the same as 30 divided in half).

3)  1.  (the giraffes and accompanying menagerie are "coming back" from the watering hole).

4)  Easy.  Grandfather, father, son; although one could also argue that the grandfather is also a son (of the great-grandfather).
How am I supposed to know which mistakes are deliberate and which aren't?

And what's the "adultfilter=on" bit in that URL?  I'm an adult dangit, if I wanna watch porn, I WILL.
Did you find what was wrong with that sentence? It's not grammarically correct. It should be, "Did you find what is wrong with this sentence?".

Divide 30 by 1/2 and add 10. Got the awnser? You know it. It's 45, and then you add 10, which is 55.

A zebra in a zoo goes to the water hole for a drink. On the way, he saw 6 giraffes coming back from there. Each giraffe has 12 monkeys around their necks. Each monkey has 3 birds on it's tail. The birds on the monkeys on the sixth giraffe each have a worm in their mouth. How many animals (and other living things) are going to the water hole? Just the zebra. Besides, these are supposed to trick. Yours gave away the answer.

How can I give 3 presents to two fathers and two sons? 3 presents each, you mean? Buy 12 presents.

I suppose we'll be inundated by new smileys now? Anyway, here's an oldie for the younger members who may not have heard it before:

Brothers and sisters have I none, but this man's father is my father's son!

So who is he?

Prize? Oh, OK, I'll see if I can dig out my Mam's top secret Xmas cake recipe.

"This man" is "I".

A dragon grows to twice his size every year. He was at his smallest at 1, and twice that size at 2, and so on. When he gets to 15 years of age he is as big as he will ever grow.
How old was the dragon when he was half of his biggest possible size?

14 years old.

What is eviler than the devil, more powerful than god, kills you if you eat or breath it and coveted by the rich that the poor have?

What is a googleplex?

Don't you mean, err.. MY puzzle?

Eh? I put in a puzzle too (or isn't that allowed on your thread?) and no one's got it yet (which is just as well as I can't find that recipe...).

Nothing?

e?

Oh I got the dragon one; one doesn't (happily for me) need to remember maths to realise a dragon which doubles it's size each year, was half it's biggest size the year before!

Here's another;

You are trapped in a warren, and time is running out! Safety lies beyond one of two doors, each of which has a guardian (the other door leads to certain death). One guardian can only speak the truth, the other can only speak falsehood (and you have no way of knowing which is which) and you may ask just one question of one, but not both of them!

To determine which is the door to safety, what question do you ask?

"Do you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth to the question 'which door leads to safety'?"

:!: Mich :?:

A little over elaborate Mich, but you are on the right track; you haven't yet though explained how such a question would lead to safety...

and now; "Brothers and sisters..." it hasn't yet been solved!

Nope!

Anyway, did one of the gaurdians say "one of us can only tell the truth, and one of us can only lie"?
Even then, you would have to ask them BOTH, "which door leads to safety" to know.

Nope!

OK, that's a good one.

Well done Jay, that's a good answer (but not the only one; anyone else care to find an alternative?).

The constellation prize is something very special. It is eviler than the devil, more powerful than god, coveted by the rich and the poor have it. Also, if you eat or breathe it, you will die after a while, so please be careful with it!

Okay. I made the mistake early on by saying it was anthrax. So the prize is nothing? I know it would be illegal to send us anthrax over the computer!

"Would you be telling the truth to the same degree that you usually do if you told me you were guarding the safe door?"

I dont have time to go into detail on that one

Sorry, but that requires two answers (or at least the assumption of an impromptu statement, plus an answer); to whether he's guarding the right door, and to your question, or two questions, which aint allowed. Nice try though! Smile

"if you told me you were guarding the safe door"...?

What if he didn't?

Nemidaelius Wrote:
in either case, a 'yes' answer means the door is safe, no means it isn't.  I dont see what the problem is.

This interests me (far more than the spelling, or this relentless backtracking)... Nem, your intelligence has impressed me, but not your impetuosity; just because you think it is so, does not mean it is so!
