I LOVE Pokemon!!!! I'm actually a Pokemon geek!!!! :groupjump:  :happyjump:  Anyone else love Pokemon?

Since you ask a question, I will answer it. I find that Pokemon is for Japanophile nerds and 8 year olds, and it was my least favourite fad that I've been forced to live through. I find it dumb.

What is your problem, Subatai? Why do you keep posting disrespectful messages? If you have nothing nice to post, then don't post anything!! Some people over 8 years old love pokemon. Although I'm not a TV fan; for the most part, I personally think watching TV is boring. But most people like TV, i'm okay with that. And I watch TV if I absolutely have nothing else to do.

Ironically, Satoshi Tajiri, creator of Pokémon is said to have AS.
Yes, it is awesome... watching Pokémon and thinking how a fellow Aspie made the most successful kid's craze since soda.
Yeah, those were my best years... I was only a little kid though, but Pokémon has been running for 10 years over here in America.  It was at its peak from '96-'02.
Cool, so by your last post have you beat it yet?

P.S. Check you http://www.pokemon-music.net/.  Oddly enough, he put a password (though told the public what it was) on all of the multimedia.  Just in case you don't notice it, it's [username: charmander7; password: 80325].
I STILL LOVE JIGGLYPUFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! On my Pokemon Crystal ROM, I have caught about 160 Pokemon in the game itself!
I like all of the first movies and first original episodes (Pokémon through Master Quest).  Really?  I actually more liked the first few episodes (1 - 93).  The music was heart-felt, the episodes were awesome, the whole team was together and Ash was still-a-workin' on his Trainer skills.  It was truely a better time.  It's sad it will never be like that again.  My favorite episodes were the first three, the episode where they went out to the outskirts of Cerulean and met Dragonite.  My favorite movies where one, two, three, and four.  I loved them!!  Better music, storylines, CHARACTERS (no MAY and MAX).  *sigh*

Yay!  Someone agrees!

I have been 'involved' with Pokémon since they really were Pocket Monsters in the 'Eighties and my older kids were collecting them (try kneeling on one of those things!Sad).

When the GameBoy games came out I bought GameBoys for the kids specifically for the Pokémon games! Then, of course, I had to get one myself! Of course, my kids and grandkids love Pokémon too, even the adults. They wouldn't dare not to! Wink

I still have Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Silver, Gold, Crystal, Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, FireRed, LeafGreen, Ranger, Dungeon Red Rescue and Pearl which I have just completed! I have at least one of all 490 Pokémon in the boxes. I am currently trying to collect all the berries.

And what has age got to do with it? I'm almost 50! Cool
I imported all the rarest Pokémon into PalPark from my other games - when I listed the GameBoy games I excluded all the GameCube games from the list, sorry!

I had imported the rare ones from GameCube games such as Pokémon Channel, Collosseum, XD, onto LeafGreen.

Sometimes rare ones are available for exchange on the GTS.
My favorite Pokemon I have ever trained and their movesets are:
Lv 88 Typhlosion(Quill)
Moves:
Fury Cutter
Flamewheel
Fire Blast
Fire Punch

Lv 85 Wigglytuff(Cuddles)
Moves:
Defense Curl
Rollout
Sing
Hidden Power Bug Type
*Note* I used a code on my Pokemon Crystal rom to have Jigglypuff my starter and is my all time favorite Pokemon ever trained!

Lv 87 Dragonite
Moves:
Twister
Waterfall
Fly
Outrage

And Tigger_the_wind, whad'ya mean the eighties? Tajiri Satoshi didn't even come up with the idea of Pokemon 'til 1991.

I must have meant these things: Monsters in my Pocket which were tiny collectibles that my older three had.

Quote "The ‘In my Pocket' brand is owned by MEG, a California-based product development, manufacturing and licensing company specializing in children's character lines, toys and licenses. MEG is an offshoot of Morrison Entertainment Group, founded by Joe Morrison and partner John Weems in 1989. Since 1989, MEG have developed, introduced and licensed a number of well known toy brands."

So my children must have started collecting them in 1990, not the eighties. Whatever tiny plastic toys they had before that must have been something else!

The history of Pokémon spans nearly a decade from when work began officially on the first game to now. It started simply enough as a hobby of Satoshi Tajiri, who as a child had a fondness for catching insects and tadpoles near his home in suburban Tokyo. Over time, Tajiri decided to put his idea of catching creatures into practice because it would give children the same thrill as he had.
With the help of Ken Sugimori and other friends, Tajiri formed Game Freak and much later the design studio known as Creatures. In 1975, the precursor to Pokémon was serialized in manga form as Capsule Monsters; however, the manga was unsuccessful and was discontinued. In 1991, Tajiri discovered the Game Boy and the Game Boy Link Cable gave him the image of insects traveling along the wire. After several failed attempts at pitching Capsule Monsters to Nintendo, Tajiri's new friend Shigeru Miyamoto pitched it to the company, and Nintendo began to fund the project, spending six years developing the games that would become a worldwide sensation. Before the first Pokémon games were released in Japan in 1996, sprites of Pikachu, Mew, Meowth, Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle appeared in Game Freak's Game Boy Camera in 1995. Around this time, Nintendo decided to change the name "Capsule Monsters" to "Pocket Monsters."

Did anyone get the new game for DS lite - Pokemon mystery something- my boys want to get it - I think it came out a couple of days ago.

I have played Pokémon Mystery Dungeon - the boys and I have both versions (red and blue). It is nothing like the other Pokémon games, as it is part of a 'Mystery Dungeon' series, and plays like them.

I actually found it a very frustrating game, and do not recommend it.

I have all the other Nintendo Pokémon games, for all the machines.
