Once again Amy that was very good

I look forward to AutTV broadcast 5
Amy I know it might seem a little errr proletariat to do so but would it be possible to put the videos on youtube or something similar, because it really does take some time to open/dowload. although the wait is worth it of course Smile
I really liked the music for the Judge Rotenberg Center segment. That was what I was getting at, by saying you could set up the discussion about it like you would set up a horror film trailer. Great job! I also liked the new AutTV logo, with the purdy colors.

I unfortunetly couldn't see much more of the AutTV 4, because it seems to take a looonnnggg time to download, even on a high speed server. Perhaps you should consider a mirror for it.
That's cool so is Pablo Frank involved in Goth/Industrial music at all, or just in general involved with music?

Quote:
For some people it has downloaded within 30 mins, so it depends on your home connection.

yeah, it did download quickly for me... no problem here.

That film Snow Cake looks like a really nice film. I hope to see it. probably will be on dvd in NL... (I hope!)

I love you people!! I just saw some of the vids on google. GRAND! let's beat autism speaks   adding stars...

does this mean there are other goth/industrial loverz in here?  Cool I was into synthpop, EBM and dark electronic music of all sorts (eg listening, dancing, now more into neofolk) I only made one song once on the computer and it's a horribly alternative/experimental industrial-like track with haunting cat sounds.... and it's called cat cemetery

Well I'm the only person I know that likes Goth music, crna. Your track sounds cool, the only thing is I am a cat person. So hearing cats sounding like they're in trouble or pain really disturbs me, so I don't think I'd be comfortable in listening to your track for that reason. Although I could be misunderstanding the whole thing, I don't want to sound like I'm saying something like you're into animals suffering or something. What is neofolk?
I like all of the broadcasts.
:?: I was wondering, who exactly does the narration for some of them, such as the one about Einstien? Is it you, Amy?

what kind of? what bands? *curious* I like some songs from various bands, not really one band or one type of music. Some I don't like, others I like a lot. I like Within Temptation for example, but that's more fairy metal with goth elements. Then I like mediaeval, folk and electronic stuff. I don't really know the divisions or names of music types that well. But I liked going to goth and alternative parties in my 'wild years' hehe, before I had a complete burnout, silly me... I will go to Summer Darkness this year, with Ramon (my creative aspie friend)

hihihi, actually kinda funny.. I have three cats, two parents and one dog at home. I am a vegetarian (almost vegan) and even catch the mosquitos out of my room to let them out  so rest assured, no harm done to any animal here! The song is essentially about a graveyard for cats (like a pet cemetery) and who gather after death like cat spirits haunting the place. The cats simply sound creepy and like you wouldn't want to walk alone out there at night or else you'd be in trouble    It's not about animal torture or anything. Actually I made it under the name No Dead Animals! which has a double meaning (eg that animals have spirits too and that one shouldn't kill animals).

I am not too happy with the song because it's too long. And since my harddisk broke I cannot shorten it now (I don't have FruityLoops anymore) and I got no time, no inspiration etc etc. It does sound sortof ok for a first song, it's just that somewhere in the middle I really wonder when it'll end, and afterwards it becomes interesting again, but I need to cut out that boring part or change it.

What is neofolk?

a type of alternative folk, dark, romantic, sometimes with old instruments, or just with a guitar, and it's also more a collective term I think, cause you also got music called dark folk, avantgarde, military, and often also industrial and noise, and stuff like that which is usually played on the same parties and then people refer to the parties as neofolk parties. Sometimes they throw in some mediaeval and celtic too. Which I also like. You can read some info on this website, it was once a really good internet radio, real pitty they stopped: Heimdallr

maYa

Finally saw AutTv #4

In the JRC report (very good and necessary, btw   ), it was a little distracting and hard to read sometimes with the words overlapping other words.  Maybe that was intentional, but it might have been easier to read if you sort of faded out (greyed-out or low-contrast) the JRC text/images before superimposing your text over it.  Maybe that is way harder to do than it sounds.  I am just trying to recall my visual memory of what the big TV companies do with such images.

...

I really want to see those movies, especially... Snow Cakes? yeah.

I had read the Urville website, and it was nice to see the Urville artist on tv.  Sorry I am bad at remembering names.

Would have liked to see what the animal sculpting guy had to say.

I loved how he made ears, though.  And I would like to know whether it's true that he "doesn't Enjoy making animals, his autism Compels him to make animals" or if not, then what he thinks about it.

Previous to reading otherwise on disability rights websites, I had assumed that all non-verbal people were routinely offered various ways of communicating until they find one they can deal with.  I had not assumed that maybe the people supposedly "helping" them didn't really want to know what they have to say.  I was wrong.

...

Do you think that people will think Autopia really exists?  [I mean Autfinity.  Did I say I am bad at names?!]
Is it a trick?  Or a surreal advert from the future!  The only part that bothers me is, it says that the place "is waiting for you" and really it isn't.

Um, and also, are you figuring that with global warming, by the time this place is built the UK coast will be tropical? or have you changed plan to Belize instead?

[Just kidding, in the last paragraph.  I know it's just to make it look like other holiday adverts.]
crna that's cool, about being so nice to animals. Although I really hate bugs, it's one of the most girly aspects about me. Whenever I see a bug I will scream EWWW! at the top of my lungs.

Would Dead Can Dance be considered Neofolk?
tnx, and you can call me maYa.. "crna" only means "black" - "crna kuna" means "black marten". the Y is a personal symbol of mine. my name is actually Maya.

I do catch them with a cup and a piece of cardboard, not with my hands! and I also have this reaction with certain bugs actually!! I don't have it with mice/rats/lizards though. I only have it with tiny animals because I have this odd fear that they might 'crawl into me' somewhere (ear, skin etc). I had a tick once, maybe because of that  :? o and wasps, I am terrified of them!

I think some songs yes. An online friend of mine is a huge fan of Dead Can Dance and I also like them quite a lot. I also like some ethno, ambiental and new age.
