Torchwood didn't impress me at all. It felt like X-files, only nowhere near as good.
I'm well into enjoying season 3. Who has seen much of it? (I'm in the US, but I get it via torrent.) I'm not sure I like Martha yet... she seems to lack... depth. "Hi, I'm pretty, spunky, intelligent, courageous, and sassy, and I run around in spacetime with the Doctor! Teehee, wait'll the girls back home hear about how he is like, soooooo hot...")
I mean, ep 2 of s. 9, where the Doctor took Rose to the end of the earth.. that had at least shown Rose to have some depth. I remember watching that scene where they were looking out into space over the planet, and she was having this sudden moment of new awareness, of being a part of something so much greater than just the hustle and bustle of life in London... a sort of awakening.
Martha... thinks the Doctor is hot.
Enh. I liked some of what I saw in S. 3, but it seems to lack some of the more profound moments that S. 1 had.
