The product is essentially a poster symbol for the Neurodiversity movement, from the site

"The “Obsessive Compulsive Action Figure” was conceived and created by a group of people who have obsessive compulsive traits.

We do not believe we have any reason to be ashamed just because we have such traits."

I'm purchasing one for a friend who has OCD. It got me thinking, if we brainstorm ideas, we could send a suggestion to them for an Asperger's Action Figure, much along the same premise. Create an Idea for a stereotypical aspie appearance, Allong with a day schedule on the back like the OCD AF, except for Aspies.

*shrugs* If it's not poseable vinyl stereotyping, I don't know what is?
I looked through the site, I must say they really do have a wide variety of extremely odd kitschy stuff. I like the Avenging Unicorns, they're kind of like the unicorns on Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends. They look kind of like My Little Ponies, but they're all guys and hate when someone brings up how pretty and girly they look.

So maybe I would be ok, with them having a Aspie figure. Since the site really seems to appear to only attract geeks, I mean in a good way. What I'm saying is it doesn't seem like many NTs would go there, at least not the obnoxious ones who'd make fun of people. So go ahead and suggest it.
The AS doll should have long hair, glasses, and braces.
Because, let's face it, the stereotypical aspie is basically a nerd- a really wierd nerd- and that's what the stereotypical nerd looks like.
He should be dressed in a T-shirt and jeans, maybe a T-shirt with a slogan refering to something really obscure?  (some kind of 'cult classic' type thing?)
What else?

Oh no!  I've never worn braces!  My eyesight is 20/20!  Waah - I'm not a real Aspie!
Alison
Well at least I have long hair...

You forgot spinny things

Also, mechanical pencils
That reminds me, you know what's really cool. Are those metal discs that have a holographic sticker on them, that when you spin around looks really neat.
I'm OC and I find this really offensive...
im OCD too at least a little bit cause its part of being aspie, but i dont find it offensive at all! i would love a aspie or nerd action dolly
yeah i laughed when i saw the picture of the OCD doll and read the routine, but im not laughing AT it im laughing WITH it.
is there a gay action figure, and if so are people offended?
The idea of an Asperger action figure does not sit well with me.  Apart from the issue of stereotyping - whicn isn't good because we've been stereotyped all our lives whether people are aware we have AS or not - we all know there's no such thing as a typical Aspie, being a spectrum condition.

Or maybe create an Asperger action figure but yes call it a Nerd action figure.
Meh, there are sterotypes for everything.  I can think of several that apply to me:  Christian, male, American, Teenager, Aspie, OCD, Nerd, Gamer.  And that's just off the top of my head.  I think that it's a neat idea.  And remember, some sterotypes are there for a reason.  I still insist on opening the doors to public restrooms with something other than my bare hands, and will wash until I "feel" clean.  Among other things.  At the very least it would make a nice gag gift.
