J-Mac Gets His Own Bobblehead

Scored 20 points in last four minutes of varsity basketball game

He's made national news, met President Bush, scored a movie deal and last week took home an ESPY Award for the best moment in sports.

Now, Jason McElwain or J-Mac, as people have been calling him has a new celebrity status symbol his own bobblehead doll.

Bobbleheads of the teen from Rochester, New York will be handed out to the first three-thousand fans attending Wednesday's Red Wings minor league baseball game at Frontier Field.

Jason, who has mild autism and was manager of his school's boys' varsity basketball team, had his moment of glory in the final home game of the season, when he scored 20 points in the last four minutes.

It was his first game ever played for the team.

Those crazy NTs eh? Gotta love 'em!    :!:
That's the kid that supports CAN. They wouldn't shut up about him for days on ESPN; it was like they put a midget or a blind person out there. I got sick of the story.
Are we supposed to be lousy sports players or something?
Well I thought making a bobblehead doll was the funny part. It sounds such an odd thing.
IMO, bobleheads are one of the worst things you can waste money on. You spend good money to get this thing that looks some sort of big-headed alien attempting to emulate whoever the person is. And all it does is the head kind of wiggles around.

No, but we have this MASSIVE mental disability that needs to be cured right now, seeing as we can't speak or function normally in the real world. Thus, when someone with this absolutely aweful disorder manages to shoot a ball into a hoop, we parade him around like ****ing Jesus.

this is a good story...but unfountley, it's been muliated to where j-mac defeated autism and became functional.  it's also saying that he's the most fuctioning autistic and he is exptional to autistics, saying most of us are doomed to a life of tradegy and should be killed and/or cured.

it's too bad...this could have done some great things for autistics, saying autistics are capable, and this isn't just an extrondary story...
