How can one access this film? Is it available outside of a video stream on the internet? I'd like to get one of my friends to look at it and give me her opinion - no worries, I'm sure she will hate it - but she has an autistic child and mine is mild aspergers. I want to be sure I am speaking for a mom with experience that cannot be disputed.

go to save as in the media player while the film is playing and after downloading is finished. this sometimes doesn't work though. it's pretty much hit or miss.

Oh well. I don't have a viable media player on any of my computers and am not inclined to keep trying to download one (the one computer I have with sound capabilities is so virus ridden it can't complete the download - can you tell computers are not my area, lol?).
Can you download AVG by Grisoft and remove the viruses, it's free.
Hey! I saw a commerical for Autism Speaks on TV last night, it said something that 1 in 166 kids have autism and go to our site to learn how to spot the symptoms and blah blah blah...
the problem is that they protray all autistics as useless and unable to do anything at all ever, and it's okay to get to a point to kill them becuase "they will never be anything more". glad my parents didn't belive that nonsense that autistics were just nothings.
their website is biased and says autism steals children. i think autism speaks steals money from other causes that need the money.
just becuase a child is diffrent does not mean they are not human...that's the big problem of autism speaks.
they also help in nothing, but instead in research dollars to get rid of us, becuase they belive that there is nothing that will ever get us to a human life and should be elimated. autism is not a monster. autism speaks...maybe.

I agree with the sentiments of the maker of this video. She has seven offspring, the youngest three of whom are diagnosed on the spectrum. She has four, I have three, adult children who were born too early to be diagnosed as children.
My appeal to anyone from Autism Speaks who might access this thread:
Love your kids, Autism Speaks People! Then you'll stop abusing them, and they'll be happy and happy kids are 'easier' (horrid word!)
Start to understand your kids, Autism Speaks People! Then they'll learn to understand you, and you'll have 'communication' (It's a two way street, parents!)
Protect your kids, Autism Speaks People! Use reins, door and window locks, love and attention, then you won't have to worry about traffic etc.
OK, there will still be 'bad' moments but they will be fewer and with your sense of humour intact can be overcome more quickly. I can stop a meltdown in its tracks if I spot the warning signs and relieve the stress with humour. If I get annoyed, irritated or just have the attitude 'here we go again', then there is no way that the meltdown won't happen.
