Hi!
I am in contact with my 6th sence, and I feel that many I've met within the autistic spectra pretty often is in contact with theirs.
I write some bout spirituality on my webpage:

Surely nobody takes David Icke seriously
I believe and I even sometimes do. I have had some freaky experiences that cannot be explained by science.
Oh I quite agree that science explains very little - it poses more problems and questions than answers... but that doesn't leave you just with a nut like David Ike... there are alternatives
I wouldn't say I go as far as yourself regarding these abilities or believing in them, but as another member posted I do feel I have a sort of 6th sense as well.
It's very complex, I can hardly explain it properly.
I am definately interested and believe. I once dreamt about my favourite tv show in exacting detail and then watched it the following monday follow the exact same sequence. nothing since but that has alway stuck with me from before I was 13.
i also own a number of books authored by Dion Fortune.
Not something I believe in so much myself, but always interesting. Call me an open-minded skeptic on the subject.
I did once "imagine" my teacher was dead just before it was announced over the PA at school. That was a little weird. :englishman:

That's the whole point of science--to help us to ask new questions all the time. "Answers" are merely a coincidentally useful byproduct.

Perhaps you would care to tell some scientists that.
We only use 10% of our brains so some kind of "psykic" abilities are possible.
And who is to say that the autistic "State of mind" would not affect how we relate to these unused functions?
That's wrong actually, we use all of it. The truth is that we only know for certain what 10% of it does.
We only use 10% of our brains so some kind of "psykic" abilities are possible.
That does not logically follow. That is full of presumption that 90% of the brain is capable of Psychic activity.
Who is to say that Psychic activity (if it exists) has ANYTHING to do with the brain?
Maybe, if the soul exists beyond physicality, it is the soul which is behind psychic abilities. What basis is there for discounting the soul or even its existence, when you are considering supernatural matters anyway.
To praise a glob of jelly encapsulated in a boney cup with abilities way beyond the physical realm is pure fantasy.

I thought the accepted truth was, we use 10% of our brains for higher reasoning and consciousness. The rest is used for breathing, movement and other things like that.
Of course I am not saying that psychic abilities are, or are not, impossible. Just what I heard.
The brain would naturally have to be involved with psychic abilities if they are real as otherwise there would be no way to perceive them.
What I was talking about was a line of reasoning that was presumptive logic rather than real logic... and regarding the generating of the ability rather than the perception of extra-natural influences.
It was quite clear that the poster I was responding to was considering the brain the be the seat of Psychic ability... however THAT is not necessarilly the case.
Of course there would have to be brain involvement in regards of perception... having eyes is not enough to perceive the world. However to say that a person is blind only because they are not having use of an area of the brain is NOT necessarilly the truth of the matter.
If one has no eyes... then it does not matter how much brain is given over to sight.
I'm interested in this more as something interesting to use in fiction than as something I believe in.
My ex-flatmate thought (thinks) she's clairvoyant. She says to me, "Why do I feel that you're going to be drawn back to your hometown?"
I said, "Well that can't be true because I don't even have a hometown. Not really."
Sometimes people can be SO far off the mark, but wouldn't it be cool if it was real??? What would people do to someone who could really do psychic things???
Probably stick 'em in a lab, is what.
I find that burning incense and stuff like that is quite relaxing.
Can't smell it, but I like to watch the smoke.
Oh well my Aunt got thrown across a bare room once ;p my Uncle witnessed it lol.
