The Marion County Sheriff's Department is investigating a case of an 8-year-old autistic girl who told police she had been fondled by a convicted child molester.

The suspect picked up the child Thursday after she wandered out of her Westside home, according to a police report. At about 3:20 p.m., the child went to a family friend and said the man had touched her.
The girl later picked the suspect out of a group of pictures of convicted sex offenders who live in the area, according to the report.
The Star does not typically identify victims of sexual assault.
No one has been arrested, but police have identified a suspect who lives and works in the area. The suspect was convicted of child molesting in 1999, according to the report.

Chilling.  So there are groups of convicted sex offenders living in the same area as families with young children; and other areas where there are kiddies as well, in other countries, presumably.  And the media demonizes AS, when there are really repulsive criminals like sex offenders on the streets and in our neighbourhoods!
