Get used to it.
I live in a city where weird is considered OK, even good. I know all Aspies don't want to be called weird, but it is, I think, very analogous to the Gay Pride thing. Queer used to be a pejorative (I know, still is, but...) until the gay community took it over, took away the power, the sting, of the word. I think we can do the same thing, and not just for Aspies, but for all autistics. I passed for normal for a long time, but now I embrace my weirdness and seek out other fabulous weirdos. If NT is normal, I'd rather be weird.

Autistics Speak-Take the Time to Listen is my favourite. It truly gets rid of Autism speaks' motto and shows that we are fine the way we are.
