Please choose. The poll will run til the beginning of september. It will have to be in 2 parts as it only allowed 10 options.

The favourites can then be grouped together.
I think that "Living our lives as OUR lives." is the most creative and has the best message. Most of the others seemed to be less interesting (I did find "Spectral beauty" interesting; it sounds a little odd though).
Can people please vote on both polls.
Suppose I was wearing at T-shirt that read "Celebrate Autistic Culture" and someone asked "What autistic culture?" What examples of autistic culture could a person cite as fine examples? I personally would be tempted to talk about famous aspies etc, and bend the subject around to a discussion of aspies and technology.

How about some slogan about autistic contributions to modern science and technology?

Its all there!
There certainly are lots of aspies who have produced beautiful works of poetry, prose, music multimedia presentations and visual art, but when I think of the word "culture" I also think about the things that people do when they are together; games, pastimes, traditions, stories, culinary traditions etc. I know I'm repeating myself from last year, but I don't know if this kind of autistic culture has been developed anywhere near it's potential yet. I think one obstacle could be that many of us fall into doing things following NT traditions without thinking about whether it really feels right. I'm reluctantly not choosing the slogan "Celebrate Autistic Culture", at least not for 2007.
Since we're trying for a minority status, wouldn't 'Proud of our culture and her community' be the best slogan option to convey that message.

With this one "proud to be different" because, well, I am proud of it.
"Proud to be different" and "Different - not diseased" are both popular, the fact that they're so similar might make each seem less popular (does that make sense?). If one was not there the other would get most of its votes.

I'm concerned that "Living our lives as OUR lives" might seem a little antagonistic and alienating - "We're doing our thing, you can piss off!". Understandable to some extent I suppose, but not necessarily the message we want to be throwing out there to a public which may be less than sympathetic.
I voted for United on the Spectrum since it sounds friendly and nice.
Has a decision been made? I'd like to see this promoted next Monday.
Just wondering if anyone in the USA is planning to publicly observe this day.
"Proud to be different" just made me think of the HSBC advert.
