Did anyone bother mention the protests in the reports =p - or did they just focus on the "Great good it's doing" [sic]
There have been no reports on the walk, or the protest, yet.
I see 3 people in these pictures.
Next protest, I want to see 3 hundreds of people.

How do you suppose we get 300 people?

There were four people protesting plus a documentary maker there filming, she is a member of this forum.

If you want to hire a jet and collect people from around the world it would be great!

I went to the protest and although it was small I think it did have an impact. People did look at the banners including children. And we heard that the protestors did upset people which is a start. Also Dame Stephanie Shirley I think her name is approached the protestors and opened up a discussion with them which I hope keeps kept up. And I applaud the protestors coming from so afar. Come on others let's keep it up. I will definitely let others know.

I don't know.
By the way, Gareth, do you have dyspraxia?
The way you stand in that picture reminds me of myself. It seems to be related to dyspraxia. (I don't have a formal diagnosis of dyspraxia, but I'm almost sure I have it).

Unfortunately, it would be somewhat beyond my budget...

How you get 300 people... Becarefull what you wish for.  The pro-cure
groups have money and could hire counter protesters.  Meaning if you
want to win a numbers game, it will not happen. If you want to make
your point a few people can do that.  If we are smart we will find away
to TAKE OVER the mainstream autism groups. ha,ha,ha evil laughs.
Ken G - I am indeed dyspraxic though have never associated this with a particular way of standing.

I definately think our presence made some impact and will get people thinking, even if they were offended at first.

All images but first are of inside the event (the area where people meet before they go off on the walk). I should point out that I took those pics after most people had left for the walk, so it was really a lot more busy than the pics show.

Incidentally, the guy in Gareth's second and my first picture is badspyro. The guys in Gareth's third pic are me (left) and Gareth (right).

Full report coming soon...
Wow, Gareth looks younger than I do (to my mind anyrate).  Like 16.  Can't be older than youngish 20s then.

When I read several times that he and Amy were married, I'd figured they must be in their mid 30s at least.
Did anyone who saw your protest, stop and talk to you about it? If so what were some of the things they said?
We did manage to speak to some of the organisers and had one person stop to complain who took a leaflet. The majority of the walkers carried on driving.

They did notice us though. I saw a lot of people definitely looking at our signs as they drove past. We made a fair bit of impact, I think.
