I'd rather wait until we're a bit further along before doing a flag myself.
Agreed, we have more practical concerns at the moment. We haven't even descided where it's going to be yet.
Anyways the design for the flag is perfectly obvious to me

(just ignore the animation)

don't like pastels that much Amy sorry.
I still think to simple infinity sign is the best. who own the copyright to that? the only symbol that looks like that is the icon for Microsoft Visual Studio. but that is still very different.

how DARE her bright pastels detract from my most righteous flag!

Here an idea i just cobbled up. If you look carefully the infinity sign is still there in a modified form.

Your right, I forgot about Japan's flag. Maybe that not a good thing. i don't want to rip off another countries flag.
(Incedently i had to look up Kyokujitsu-ki on google)

The flags are definately different enough to be considered distinct. Do you mind if I use this flag in an Autfinity Project I'm working on?

I think in practical considerations, shadings are hard to reproduce on flags, this is why most flags don't have them.
Or is it an old-fashioned consideration?

No you are right, doing gradients probably is possible today, it likely to be expensve since every different shade would require a diferent dye.

I like this:

Better than

But if this was to be created on fabric in general every colour costs money, as such I think we should avoid gradients and things like that, maybe a similar ish design could be created which would use say a maximum of 3 maybe at absolute peak 4 individual colours (shades of a colour = new colur (is new ink thus new colour cost wise))?[/img]

Here is my attempt:
OPTION 8

I am hoping someone could maybe tell me how to reduce the # of colors without the weird things that happen with the "posterize" feature in MS Image Manager. Or I can send you the PNG file for you to fix it.
This is my first attempt with VECTORS and I am proud of the fact it turned out decent.

OPTION 9

Pretty, and simple.
Depsite the bright colors, it's not headachy either.
Didn't see this one before - it's quite nice. Also, I think a similar design with a black background would be very effective on a T-Shirt or a flag.
