Jason McElwain, the autistic Greece Athena High School student known as J-Mac, has been nominated for an ESPY award by ESPN.
An ESPY is like an Oscar for sports.
McElwain is a finalist in the "Best Moment" category for scoring 20 points in the four minutes of the only basketball game he ever played. McElwain was the team manager, and was allowed to suit up for the final home season game. He sank six three pointers and a basket.
The award ceremony will be taped in Hollywood's Kodak Theatre on Wednesday, July 12 and televised on ESPN the following Sunday. The event will be hosted by Lance Armstrong.
