Smoking!  :yell:  :fire:
People who talk on their cellphones while driving. The times I almost got into an accident were due to these morons.

Drivers who change lanes without using their signal.

Smokers who don't care that we're being exposed to their poisonous smoke.
People whoam I consider to be idiots generally fit anywhere from several to all on my list.  Which is:

* Clear lack of ability to distinguish facts, opinions, assumptions, beliefs, faith, theories, possibilities, probabilities, myths, fiction, assertions, affirmations, ideas and many other things from one another.

* Clear lack of ability to distinguish stating of a view point and/or questioning a view point from a personal attack.

* Clear need to win and a clear lack of ability to refrain from resorting to hostile and/or aggressive behavior in an attempt to win in any communicative medium.  Alternatively clearly passive, inability or unwillingness to standup for strongly held views, and/or easly swayed from strongly held views.

* Clear lack of ability to distinguish discussions, debates and arguements from one another. as well as a clear lack of ability to tell when it has changed.

* Clearly not interested in and/or open to anything anyone has to say.

* Clearly closed minded, persistent belief that there is nothing more to know or worth knowing and an insistence on trying to convence people that there view is the right and only correct view.

* Clear lack of willingless to accept that a person's view may be unchangable and a hostile unwillingness to agree to disagree and move on.

* Clear lack of ability to accept differences and/or different views.

* Clearly refusing to understand the views of other people.

* Clearly unimaginative, and incapable of understanding "logical leaps", "synthesises" and other logic tools.

that seems to be about all the ones I think of which qualify for me thinking someone is an idiot. Cool

To clarify, my issue here is when I have an argument based primarily on hard evidence (such as evolution, global warming, or what certain historical documents litterally say).

The emphases of "hard evidence" suggests something along the lines of "My evidence is better then your evidence. So there!"  when all it really means is you value what you consider evidence over what the other person considered evidence.  Evidence has subjective value and there are no guaranties that the other person values the evidence as much as you do. Which could lead to argueing over the reliability of the evidence to countless depth with no mutual conclutions other then agreeing to disagree.  Even if the evidence is mutually agreeable theres still room for disagreement in interpretation which can lead to argueing to countless depth with each believing themself to know the correct interpretation againing leading to only being able to mutually agree to disagree.

After constructing an argument which refutes theirs (and they've usually started it), these people will, rather concede that I have the upper hand (I will often simply plead "no contest"), or ask to gather more evidence, will simply say "Well, let's just agree to disagree," as if it is a matter of pure opinion or varying criterion in which all stances are equally valid, such as favorite color or best flag.

The person may believe that they not you have the upperhand but think theres no way there going to convence you and that continueing to argue isn't going to get anywhere and suggest agreeing to disagree in an attempt to end the arguement in such a way as your both still on talking terms.

Alternatively they may have a position which is so illogical that I cannot comprehend it.  I'll keep asking about logical holes, and they'll repeat the same non-answers.  At some point, again, they ask to AtoD rather than come up with valid answers to my questions.

I think the repetativenes of there answer suggests someone whose an auditory learner whoam is trying to explain by the same way that they learn. Understanding through repetition.  That or perhaps they think the answer makes perfect since and cannot think of a better way to get there point across because they have no idea why you don't get and your not getting it makes obsolutely no sense to them.  "Obvious Syndrome" if you will.

Lestat, I agree about people leaving poos in the public toilets or big skid marks. Sometimes they can't help it if the toilet won't flush, but usually they just aren't bothered to flush. I also hate stinky toilets that obviously haven't been cleaned for ages.

Also people who come too close if they have really bad breath.

But what annoys me more than most is being shouted at or spoken to rudely. It makes me cry and likely to either withdraw or retaliate.
Shop assistants who chat amongst themselves and waste time when you're in a hurry and waiting to be served and you're either the only customer in the shop or there's just a few people.

Clothes manufacturers not making clothes to suit size 14 (average) or over.

People saying they are telling you things "for your own good" when they are getting off on a personal power trip in making themselves look superior.
Bullies, especially sneaky ones.
Dumb people who try to put me down and say I'm stupid when it's them who are stupid.
People repeatedly throat clearing.
People with ugly voices.
Women's magazines with stupid articles about diets, Hollywood stars and the like.
Stupid cliche words in the above such as "star's fury", "my diet hell", "tying the knot", "falling off the wagon", "wonder diet" etc. etc. ad nauseum.
Stinginess and meanness.
Using numbers instead of letters in words.
Boring gangsta songs that always talk about ho's, bling-bling, pimps, pimping, pimp and don't have a proper tune.
Throat clearing people.
Are you autistic?
Yes, having to talk to others when I don't feel up to it, making phone calls to strangers, job interviews, burnt toast smells wafting around (mind you, I've been guilty of burning food so probably shouldn't complain too much about that one), burnt popcorn smells wafting around, older kids (ie over about 2) with pacifiers (makes them look dumb), dead animals that are stinking, people being cruel to animals, people being cruel to kids, people being cruel to anybody.

Diagnosed Aspie, as I have told before on this board. Why?

Because I wasn't sure, that's all.

Handicapped bathrooms, where they fail to take into account the fact that the parent and the disabled individual may not be of the same sex.  Poor hrick has seen the inside of more Ladies rooms then I can count.  When you have to go, you have to go.
