i want to join army becuz i love to be active, but there is something to test first and i think it called psychologic investigation.(? dont know how to call it in english)
is it possible to pass that test if you're enough social.(so you'll get atleast minimum required result)
or you just cant pass the test, becuz you have PDD-NOS?(or other A)
or you cant pass the test, becuz of safety research.(maybe some ppl will think that im dangerous cuz of having disability)
im not sure i want to join army, but want to know if i want to be.

just want to know :?

Edit:
but if i do, is it possible to join army and become a officer or something else? :?

Any maggot (private) can become an officer. It just takes guts to be a successful one. Oh and years and years of education.

i've good education, becuz of special school im going (and other school before), but there is nothing i can find about "psychologic investigation(Psychologisch Onderzoek)", so i dont know, i can pass or not becuz of PDD-NOS(or other A). :?

i searched in
http://www.mindef.nl
http://www.landmacht.nl/
http://www.marine.nl/
http://www.luchtmacht.nl/
http://www.marechaussee.nl/
but there is no detail about psychologic investigation(well, i think that's because the content must be secret  ).

does someone know about it?  :?  :?  :?
but my question is: is it possible to pass the test legally? :?

Quote:
For the United States ate least it is possible.

Unless you already have an official diagnosis, in which case the Army keeps you out

if its in the united states, is it possible to join or pass the test, or not? :?

The army, as I said, has been accussed of illegally recruiting low functioning autistics.

So I'd say even if they don't want you, in the US they'd be desperate enough to give it a try right now.

so you tell me, that if there were normal condition in united states, and i lived there and want to join army, i would have zero chance to join army in US. (just to confirm)

thanks, that's all what i wanted to know
I was asked to leave the training corps at college, because my special interest of the moment was anti-Semitism.

Heh, that old chestnut...

I was and still am quite devastated about it, as I liked the discipline and the order of it, but I contravened their rules on respecting peoples' religions.

It was almost a spiritual experience for me - and I blew it!  Sad

I might see if they would have me back.

Here is a good article I read several weeks back that I think will serve you well to read:

http://www.aspires-relationships.com/art...litary.htm

I managed to spend five years on active duty in the Navy with no serious incidents, and another fifteen as an active reservist with the Army.  So give it a try already!
Rather than committing yourself to active duty, you could become a reservist
(weekend warrior) just to see how it goes.
I heard you can skip some of the bottom ranks if you have the right university degree (Perhaps from a military uni.)

Or perhaps I'm thinking of the wrong army?

I joined the Army when in my early 20's...

The routine was fine... the bureaucracy was not...

I think it depends on what job you decide to pursue while in the Army is most important...

There must a lot of Aspies in the military. I am thinking about joining the TA myself. Admin I would not like, but order and structure, I would.
Getting in the Army with AS can be a good thing. The structure and routine (or theory of in the Reserves) works well for some people.  I like it.  Dealing with the social aspects is a real challenge.  The challenge, at least for me, was convincing everyone I didn't want to "hang out" (or associate with them) without them thinking I was completely nuts.  NT tend worry about (versus worry for) someone that elects to stay outside of their social circles.  I was diagnosed with AS after I had been in the Reserves for two years.  The first year they knew, most of my chain of command was deployed. The people running my unit were like, "We should do something about that... eventually." They never got around to sending to a med review board.  The following year (this year) at annual training, my battallion CO freaked out when she got the papers and sent me to psychiatric. The conversation with the doctor went like this:
(doctor) "Let me guess... They think you're weird."
(me) "Yes."
(doctor) "They do stuff that stresses you out that they don't think should cause you that much stress."
(me) "Yes."
(doctor) "You want to reclass [get a new job]?"
(me) "Yes."
(doctor) "I'll write that up for you.  Have your escort pick it up when she gets here."
(me) "That's it?!"
(doctor) "Yea. You're the second person with Asperger's I've seen this week.  You're fit for duty.  We just got to get you in job where you can use your strengths. Probably something more technical.  If there are any more problems, have you unit call me."

I didn't expect an Army doctor to know much about Asperger's, let alone be supportive of me staying in the Army.  Now the only challenge is to decide if I want a job my unit has or to change units.
Things work different for me even in the army.  Like when I was working in the kitchen on the depot, the cooks played loud music.  I hate loud noise, so I wore earplugs.  I can speech read, but nobody could really hear over the music and I don't talk very loud with earplugs because it sounds louder to me.  I taught them sign laguage.  They never did turn down the music, but they didn't need to by the end of the mission.
