while i've said this before, maybe on the forum it will be noticed and of course, these aren't strictly cartoon characters: clone troopers from starwars (from what i gather from this book) the "psychological quirks" that the cloning process gives them is...AS! lol

I can't say I'm really that surprised, since there seems to be alot of Aspieish characters in Anime. I really love the cute doggy Maromi!

I should go to Best Buy and see if they have a boxset of the series. I really don't like buying the DVDs of a series seperatley, because if the last episode ends with a cliffhanger..you have to wait till you buy the new DVD to find out what happens.

If your going to go for simpsons characters, go for Martin Prince, Comic Book guy and proffesor Frink. Glaven.

Comicbook guy makes me think of the episode where Homer became Mr. X:  "There is no emoticon to express my anger!"

Just sounds to me like an aspie thing to say, it certainly stuck with me.

Comic Book guy certainly represents the bad side of aspies, but he certainly seems like one.

I've seen it. My parents and I love to :roll: at how utterly textbook the Aspie in that episode is. It's like, lets just throw a whole lot of OCD in there, make the guy seem really anxious and confused..wha-la! Aspie!

It's so obvious they never considered how a Aspie would act in real life for that epsiode, they just opened a psych book and took the diagnostical description to heart.

Interestingly enough, I just saw a Unsolved Mysteries rerun. They were discussing how they felt that The Unabomber also was The Zodiac Killer. Since Theodore Kazinsky (sp?) was one of the most talented mathematicians for his age. He taught at a university originally.

They figured since the Zodiac Killer made cryptograms out of Zodiac signs, that it most likely was Theodore because the said that cryptograms are like a game for really smart people at math.

as for an on topic post if we looks at webcomics i think Leo from Vg cats and Red mage and Fighter from 8-bit theater might be all aspies as well as gabe from penny arcade

Since I have AS traits I can definatly see it ;p

Arguably we can't class Robots/Cyborgs et al as being Aspies as thats more a result of them being artificial intelligences (in most cases :p)

Well, I am going to buck things and throw in Soundwave from Transformers.  Compare him to the other characters and he was quite different.  Plus, he was the only person I could relate to as a child, since he had no personallit to speak of just like me and spoke in monotone, just like me.  So I liked him a lot and still do.  I think I actually used to pray to him as a child.  I know I talked to him a lot.  I don't give a hoot that he is a robot...he had a very different personallity than any of the other Transformers...everyone else had far more personallity and vocal change than he did.
