There might be a book in this, or a thesis: All Cartoon Mice Have Aspergers.
There might be. Maybe you could even write it.

Sure thing, I just started the thread as making the theme about cartoon characters, because I tend to watch alot of cartoons myself and pick up on cute Aspie jokes in them.
I also wanted to mention, I was watching the show Mike Lu and Og on Boomerang. Og is really aspie, like Mike, (it's a girl, I think she's supposed to be really tomboyish, so she changed her name to a more male sounding nickname) and Og were playing a game, and Og kept getting distracted by animals..and kept referring to them by their latin scientific name.

Sorry for the double post- but OG IS AWESOME! I always end up liking the genius kids in cartoons!

That character from Boston Legal is Jerry Espinson. He has Asperger's and Tourette syndrome.
One that I think hasn't been mentioned (I tried to scour the entire thread, but I'm sleepy, so I might have missed it) is the Doctor from Doctor Who. He's brilliant, he gets really excited and talks very rapidly at times and practically bounces around the room from excitement (I get this way sometimes), he doesn't seem to notice when his female companions take a liking to him, and there are probably other things but I can't think of any more.
The four main characters in The Big Bang Theory are, IMO, on varying points on the spectrum, with Sheldon Cooper being the most stereotypically Asperger's.
I always thought Albus Dumbledore from HP was Aspie. He is obsessed with socks, he's brilliant, he says very odd things sometimes, and there are probably more examples that I can't remember.

Near. Death Note. Not just Asperger's but full blown Autism. Physically appearance and behavior seems younger than it ought to be. He's always obsessively building things out of his toys and uses them to act stuff out in order to figure out how it works. Never appears in public. Deals with everything with pure, cold logic. No eye contact. Always twisting his hair. Sits in an unusual fashion. Intense expression, don't remember if we see him smile. It's pretty much certain, whether the writer meant it or not Near is an Autistic Savant.
Also (spoiler warning) when L dies and Mello is all freaking out, Near is totally calm and says 'If we can't solve the puzzle, we're nothing but failures.'
Also L's definitely an aspie.

Okay, I came by this thread and it sparked some interest in me:
Charlie Brown of the Peanuts cartoons
Waylon Smithers of The Simpsons
Snively from the Sonic The Hedgehog cartoon
Antoine from the same cartoon
Moe from The Simpsons (In the episode where he opens up "Uncle Moe's Family Feedbag", he kind of has a meltdown in front of the patrons, making them leave. He also yells at Ralph in one of the restaurant scenes just for him spraying him with water)
Professor Fink of The Simpsons
Lisa Simpson (definitely)
Ralph Wiggum (seems to have severe or moderate autistic traits)
Buster of Arthur (one pointed out in a fanfic he may have had a mild form of AS)
Sid from Toy Story (he likes to torture his toys for fun, he seems to have ADHD also)
Also Mindy Simmons (one timer from the Simpsons. She has the same traits as Homer, whose traits are sort of Aspie-ish and I should also mention she is played by the greatest actress of all time)
The Disney characters sounded pretty interesting because they were ones I didn't expect... Like Princess Ariel... I used to have a crush on her)
