fred from Angel (Buffy take-off) I think could be. But as the series went on she basically became an extremely smart NT. I liked her much better when she 1st came into the show she was so quirky, she was my fav character for a few seasons but ya she turned into an NT.
the "General" from "Sheep In The Big City" it was a rather pathetic cartoon but for those who dont know the General became childish & had tantrums all the time, he thought everybody respected him but it seemed like they were just following him because he somehow managed to get the highest position in the army. He made his scientists make a "Sheep powered ray-gun" but they needed a sheep & there werent any in the city & by a twist of fate a sheep moved into the city & he became obsessed with trying to capture it to take over the world. The sheep also fell inlove with a wealthy womans poodle but she had a phobia of sheep so she would always take off her metal wig & hit the sheep with it. On occasion the general would call her to get her help but he always stuffed up the plan & she always ended up hitting him on the head with her metal wig.
Im going out on a long stretch here but maybe Wario, u know the anti-mario that nintendo made. It seems hes completely obsessed with treasure, & hes always rude in the games but thats cos he doesnt care what people think & he says it like it is. & on the gameboy original games many years ago he always tried to stop mario by any means neccisary from getting "his" treasure if I remember correctly.
Also in sheep in the big city his scientists made a "plot device" so they knew what was going to happen & where the sheep would be later in the episode... Basically his routeen for the day so he could organise how his day was going to go. course it never went according to plan. Well it did one time but he told all the other people in the army he wouldnt need them now cos he had the sheep so they helped the sheep escape so they wouldnt loose their jobs.. I dont think very many NTs would tell every1 they were going to fire them.. I dont think at least
Steve Urkle?
anyone agree?

um, i suppose dint get the pants up to his chest thing though.
posible aspes from anime:
hotaru and ami/amy(sailor moon season s): socally inept- wants friends but cant make them or keep them
inu yasha: bullied for being differant
these are just a few.
Okay, here are some characters I think might fit the spectrum:
Prince Zuko (Avatar: The Last Airbender)- can get short-tempered, has a bit of a one-track mind, at times is naiive, has been bullied & deemed an outcast by society.
Clam (Camp Lazlo)- not much of a talker, has savant-like intelligence, can sometimes get grumpy
Oh crud, those are the only one I can think of now. ><;;

Oh wait, I thought of another character:
Butters Stotch (South Park)- naiive, kid-like optimism, is bullied a lot... well, either he's that or he could be gay llike everyone suspects.
Zuko from Avatar is a good candidate, but I was thinking of his sister, Azula.
No, she's a psychopath (yes, that IS a type of mental illness)
I think Charlie Brown from all the Peanuts TV specials was very aspie like.
I agree with you about Charlie Brown. In second place, I'd put Schroeder, whose special interest is Beethoven. Here is Schroeder's debut in the strip, May 30 1951.

What about that loudmouth robot on Futurama? My husband loves that character, not sure what his name is.
Nah. Bender's social problems probably stem from being an alcoholic.
...and a sociopath. That'll do it.
Well, he's a robot. He doesn't have empathy unelss if you install an empathy chip into his head-- thats what they did in one episode and they had it tuned so he could feel Leela's emotions.
I also think Clam from Camp Lazlo is Autistic. He rarely says anything exceeding five words or so, yet is considered a genius (especially in playing Beethoven's 9th on the glass bottle). Definitely an Autistic Savant right there.
Buster from Arthur just screams Aspie to me.
Is this fourm limited to animated characters or all fictional characters in general?
Book: "Fudge" from the Judy Bloom Fudge series seems pretty Aspie to me and Ramona from the Beverly Cleary Ramona series sounded like a tame version of me as a kid (Instead of lashing out physicaly at people who just held it in when someone ticked her off instead of going for the kill like I did.)
^Also "General Hospital"'s resident cyber-geek, Spinelli....he's smart but socially blundering, has Aspie-peculiar mannerisms, and high-vocabulary speech patterns where he refers to everyone (including himself) in the third person. AFAIK the show's never said he is, but maybe they should.
(And don't look at me like that, folks....I've moved in with a relative who likes the daytime soaps.....can't help observing.

)
Ok, here's two that you can't argue with:
Gomez Addams from the Addams Family (seriously, the trains, the literal interpretation of Morticia saying all thumbs, the overall eccentricity)
Uncle Fester from the Addams Family (the fetching of a horse in order to "horse whip" someone)
Carter from Hogans Heroes (social awkwardness, literal interpretation, unintentional rudeness, obsession with bombs, naiveness, and much more)
