I dunno, I might just not find it all that creepy, seeing as I've spent alot of time around animatronics..lilke at Walt Disney World. Or Chuck E Cheese, although they usually are crap animatronics.

Ooh, that reminds me of an advertisement that kept coming on the airport televisions in Mexico (when you see a dude who looks nothing like Einstein with an Einstein hairdo, you have to look), in which a woman was lecturing on Einstein on his failure to understand, I think it was, the value of their phone service (the volumns were always low. Mexico, unlike the United States, is sane in that regard).
He grew more and more agitated as she calmly proved him wrong.
Einstein as a strawman.
Now that's uncanny eh?

as far as i remember the actual Einstein spoke German and English. so why not the robot? I assumed they would have use taped interviews or something, instead of hiring an actor to imitate him, so it would have been his real phrases... But just guessing on this part.

what a waste of money. These companies are spending tons of cash to make these walking robots. what purpose do they serve? A novelty act, something to show off at trade shows. pointless. leave the walking to human beings thank you very much.

[paranoia]
Isn't it true that one application of walking robots is supposed to be robot soldiers, which will allow the armed forces of rich countries to kill the human soldiers of poor countries, without risking their own soldiers?
Something that would probably have freaked-out Einstein no end, given his own conflicted connection with war technology :!:
