Looking for themes for 2007, these will then be put in a poll, which will show the favourite and it will be declared by end of september.

Any suggestions from previous years can be brought up again too.

2 basic ideas from me so far -

"Autistic Pride Day - proud of our culture and community"

"Proud to be different"

Problem with that is if someone doesnt know its referring to a cure for autism, would it make sense to them?

i kinda like this one, almost as a defense of the word "pride"... to explain it to people like me who were not sure about the whole "pride" thing.

it's a little long, but does that matter?

Well it could just be the second part without Autistic Pride Day at the front.

What about this 'Theme for 2007 Autistic Pride Day - Proud of our culture and community'?

Anymore suggestions welcome for the poll.

Can anyone find out if that phrase is copyrighted?

Not sure if some people (as many would see it who did not know anything about all the autism issues) might be confused as some autistics are non-verbal.

Again, is there any way to check if that is copyrighted before we put it on the poll, just in case.

If we can get some more, we can then make a poll.

I think we had about 10 last year to choose from, not sure how many we have yet.

Actually just made a quick list and we have quite a lot already, I think the max number we can put in a poll is 16.

What about a variation 'Autism, it's not what you think'.

As APD is international then I think we should avoid anything in use, as far as I know McDonalds has been able to copyright and trademark 'I'm lovin' it' in the UK, and that is just three words.

That is the list so far.

As we have had no new ideas for a week or so, I will make a poll with the list and people can vote over the next 6 weeks to give everyone a chance.

Then we can declare the winner and start making banners with it, etc.
