It used to be there. Also, I don't see anywhere to update member profile and put on an Avatar and signature.
Thank God we don't have anything like this Rottenberg centre where I live (as far as I know anyway) but I wouldn't doubt that some of the juvenile detention centres would be hard places to live in.
Wow. That place sounds more like a jail than a school. Someone should sue them. D:<
I'm getting ideas of maybe travelling there in the future, pretending to be a researcher of special education programs, but in reality getting feedback on what the students think of their prison, and to help bail them out.
I agree the place sounds like a horrible place. I pulled up the website for this place, and just by looking at the pictures of the place, I would find myself more at ease in a really obnoxious Disco, or perhaps a Casino, than to be subjected to the unrelenting barrage of visual noise their 'students' (read as inmates) are bombarded with 24-7 in that place. --See for yourself, but be forwarned it's truly heinous

Wow. That's the most horrible looking school I have ever seen. Pulaski, with its endless litter of broken pencils and ripped-up papers, looks better than this.
Hmm, the school looks nice from the outside but whoever designed the rooms must have got caught in the late 60's and 70's. It's good to have lots of colours but I think they overdid it. I can see why they charge a lot as it's obvious a lot of this stuff cost serious money.
The students they showed looked happy but then they'd hardly want to picture the ones who weren't.
What we really need is someone who can infiltrate the system and find out what is really going on there.

They already did that. A team of Boston Investigators investigated the school and write this.
Meiloyn, you probably wouldn't like my place then as it is full of brightly coloured stuff (not as overstated as that in the Rottenberg Centre though).
Do the parents get charged to put their children into this kind of centre?
And it would do much more good for society. I just can't believe this kind of thing would exist. I don't think we have anything like it in Australia. I was told this Rotten centre had punishments even for sneezing and stuff like that.
Surely, if they wanted to change behaviour, they should have only looked at violent behaviour. I don't think giving electric shocks would teach the children anything anyway, except for hatred.
Meh. The JRC is rant-worthy, if anything is. None of us would be all that annoyed with you if you used a bit of bad language.
I mentioned the existence of this centre to an aspie I know here. He didn't seem very perturbed because it was a long way from here. I think that fact that this kind of thing exists anywhere is of a great concern.
I can't believe this is actually real and happening in today's times. It's just....I can't even put into words how awful this is and just reading that made me feel sick.
Alas Bedlams and Willowbrooks are still with us. I think someone should give those jokers a taste of their own medicine!
I wonder if a human rights group such as Amnesty International have looked at the school.
I don't know - it seems as if this school and similar institutions somehow "slip under the radar" and part of the reason (a big part) is society's horror of what they call mentally ill people and the assumption that the kids in this centre are raving loonies and therefore should be locked up. Plus, it's also the apathetic attitude, namely "out of sight - out of mind".
Do we have to tell JRC that we have something to tell them?
THIS.IS.SPECTRUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUM!
*kicks the staff into holes*
LOL
Yeah - it is shocking - unbelievable that it is allowed to happen. I don't understand how any parent could send their child to such a school.
