It seems to me that these are just jealous numbskulls, wanting to remain lazy and complacent ("He tasks me - and I will have him!" Kahn, in The Wrath of Khan). We are too much trouble for them and look at our role call of honour compared to theirs (one in ten of the autistic community is considered genius material, compared to one per cent of the normal populace: where would we be without Einstein, Bill Gates, Temple Grandin etc). What we need is to collate the facts and make a list of all the things that we've contributed to society and use it in protest and advertising material:- RIP, computers, atomic energy, the humane slaughter of animals (animal rights protesters fight the system but don't change it as they only force things underground and prolong the situation, not cure it.) Only understanding cures anything. We are like scientists in this respect - facing our fears and learning from them. The alternative is what is being proposed for us - annihilation of that which we fear (out of sight, out of mind). We may appear unemotional and our staring freak people out but that is because we are present and aware as they are not (positive emotion is movement towards (attraction) as negative emotion is movement away from (repulsion) but intellect is being present (going nowhere but here)). They try to hide their fears (as we openly display them in anxiety and panic attacks) and it is this hiding of the emotional facts of their lives that frighten them' with regards to us, because they fear we can see the truth of their souls: To ease this we then become shifty in our looks, to avoid provoking them into violent suppression of our openess and honesty (It's what we awaken in them about their own doubts and fears that they want to stiffle, not us ourselves - we are just mirrors for them). We have to understand them. They have to understand themselves and we must both understand the situation we find ourselves in to truly cure the problem of integration (Integration is better than disintegration).
