The red wings just got rid of my favorite player who im desperatley in love with (Manny Legace). Im in total shock right now and im sure the tears will come later, I cant believe it though, thats probably in the top ten sadess things thats happened to me since third grade. I know i cant count on any thing but it still... ugggg I think im having a nervous breakdown and I will never watch the red wings again until they get him back. Im sooo cold right now. How do you guys cope with a loss like your favorite show gets canceled or what ever? Any tricks as in to forgetting and moving on?

sorry cant help you there. I didnt even get upset when my Grandma died. So im not really fussed when shows get canceled. Although I was a bit pissed when charmed got canceled.
did you know your grandma that well? Becuase if you didnt I would get that. Like If my grandma on my dad's side died I wouldnt care that much, but my other grandma lives right next door and i love her to death.
Yes I did know her very well. I just dont have a lot of feelings thats all. Hmm it's very strange I cant explain it that much. I always spend a lot of time with my family and friends, although while im smiling and things ill feel nothing. Well I do feel anger a lot and I do get mad easily. Although in some cases when I'm with my friends I will feel something. I think I will this weekend because were all going to London for a few days which should be fun. Which will make me feel very happy and I'll smile alot no doubt especially when were out in the clubs! :grin:
I guess you can consider me an overemotional person. Espcially when they say something about Manny(probably cause im obsessed with him but he's soooo cute) But like this one time I got the winning goal in a shoot out in soccer but I didn't really care, it was kinda weird. So I get where your comming from. Like I im not really sad about the Manny thing I just feel sick, they didnt even give him a chance, uggg...

I'm so oblivious of all things sporting that I thought the last Super Bowl was over a week before it began :lol: , but here's my 2 cents' worth:
1.) You could start a protest movement of Manny fans, using local TV & radio, the internet, local newspapers, whatever is available. It probably won't change the decision, but it might do you & the other fans good to go on record with these objections instead of just mourning/ranting privately.
Besides, if you create enough of a stir, maybe you will get Manny's attention & he will know what a great fan base he has. He will feel the hometown love & maybe it will cheer him up a bit... :smile:
2.) Could you switch your allegiances to whatever team Manny plays for next, or is that too big a change to make? Eh, it probably is, my brother is a die-hard fan of his favorite baseball team no matter what they do...
3.) :idea: Or root for BOTH teams! :idea:
As stated, I am out of my element here, but I mean well! And I send condolences. Fandom is wonderful but sometimes it hurts too.
If I really wanted to I could go to his house. EEEEEEEEEEE Because my grandma has a friend who has a friend who lives next door to him! But yeah that will never happen, becuase when I asked my grandma's friend if she could take me as a joke she had no idea what i was talking about. That made me so angry! I hate it when people say stuff like that to get me all excited and then they forget about it. Yeah I could gather a large fan base but apparently he doesn't have theat many fans on account he messed up in the stanly cup playoffs! But it wasn't just his fault, I mean where was Shanahan? or Daytsuk? Or Lidstrom? HUH HUH?!? And they arnt pissed at them. I mean with out Manny the only cute guys well have are Steve Yzerman(if he doesn't retire) and Chris Osgood(im not sure if he's gona stay either). What is this world comming too????????????? maybe we'll get Al Montoya to play goal (he's good and sexy) he used to play for UM then he went pro and plays for the NY rangers. I miss him too.
Was Manny traded, or just let go? Does he now belong to a new team that you can root for?
They said they arn't going to renew his contract so I guess that means he was let go, he has to find a new team now. Im definatley routing for his new team now. Even if he was traded that would still be just as mean, I hate detroit, it's a known fact they make the goalie the goat. They're so mean!
