I think the island idea is so unrealistic. And it would be hard to buy, because they'll be hospitals, vetanary/medical supplies to think about. Including housing development, schools and school supplies. Why not try to go for something smaller like an aff camp. Which we could easly raise funds for by having fun days and things. And meeting up and staying in the same house for a number of weeks or days. I just think an aff camp would be alot more easier to organise instead of buying a whole new island. Plus we'll need people with the right qualifcations to run the camp like child day care, first aid, health and safety and special needs requairments. And also a place to run the camp! Which would be held one or more times a year depending on how successful it turns out. we'd also kill two birds with one stone, we'd have our place which would allow us to leave to real the world for abit.

I wondered what the insurance situation would be if aspies lived on a remote island and somebody got injured? I'd be very nervous about being segregated onto an island in case some rogue elements got into power and terrorised the other people.

Some are, in fact I think most are. I worry that because we are so trusting in general, we might be taken in by a more agressive person or group with an agenda that isn't good for us.
