They are important questions for a natural island, if we did manage to form a man-made island in Dubai it would be formed the same as the other and would automatically have all those things.
There is a tv show called megastructures with an episode on man-made islands in Dubai.

I do believe that is called a hamlet and not a village.
It depends on its history, some places were villages and became partly abandoned as people moved into cities in the past, so now they are desolate but are still known as a village.
The island would be real.
But if you want to make a 2D one as well, it would be interesting.
You have a good point there with reguards to the male female demographics we would have, not sure if such a heavily unbalanced population could reproduce enough to sustain its numbers let alone multiply never thought of that one myself.
