Library, yes definitely.  I love the smell and feel and look of books.  Also, staring at a book hurts my eyes less than staring at a screen.

We would probably also have authors, fashion designers, ect.

I, myself, dream of being the script writer/director for an animation company.  That, if it took off, could bring in a lot of money.

How big IS this going to be?  One town, one city, several towns, several cities?  'Cities', of course, not meaning loud, smoggy, nasty places, but basically meaning 'really big, slightly more crowded towns'.

There's a 4:1 (or is it 3:1?) male:female ratio who has AS.  The village, island or whatever would have to import NT females to make up the numbers.

Is this supposed to be AS-specific, or is it for all on the spectrum?  Could it be, for instance, all males with AS, with some females with Kanner's autism to make up the female numbers?

that would probably be for the best other wise we just saved the NTs alot of trouble with trying to get rid of us. lol

That would be so funny if aspies and auties set up their own isolated  economy. Like instead of looking at trading with full countries, trade with settled groups of aspies and auties within those countries? This way:
>SUPPLY: nobody would be crippled by an economic depression in one country because there would be auties all around the world to compensate. Unless it was like the Great Depression in the 1930's, in which case nobody has any privilege over anybody else.

Summary: Before looking for political territory, for example this island, perhaps you (I don't know whether I'm autistic for sure or not, I'm seeing a psychiatrist later this month about my strange hair plucking and others) should consider covering economic ground and creating a stable system to fall back on. I mean only a cake and cookies fundraiser simply isn't going to do it, especially for NTs.

LMAO bringing in autistic women to this island like they did in early Canada. I think it was Louis XIV who exported French women to have babies with the French males there, and also the French males had sex (it's true!!) with the First Nations in order to better trade relations (although I don't insist you do this. . .sex and in turn colonization, what a powerful weapon)
It would be tragic if two autistic parents had NT kids on this island. What would happen to them, would they be shunned for NOT being autistic if they couldn't help it? I mean it's good to establish cultural pride but not to the point that it's exclusive, much like how auties are shunned by NTs.

I think the gender ratio is bullshit. Boy just happen to be DIAGNOSED more. There's a giant difference between being Aspergian and being idagnosed Aspergian. I believe that there are a LOT MORE ASPERGIANS OUT THERE, so statistics based on diagnoses should be completely ignored.

If an Aspergian male and an Aspergian female were to give birth to a child, that child would have a 50% chance of becoming a boy or a girl.

I agree with tenaciouscj. I know quite a lot of girtls who are certainly Aspies, but have no idea. I should probably tell them, but they are mostly in denial about me being an Aspie, let alone themselves.

A great place to go woud be the Amazon. Apparantly you can buy 1 acre there for just 75 dollars! Also, farms come quite cheaply.
