Temple Grandin is on British television this week on Thursday 8th June 2006 on BBC Two at 9pm. (on "Horizon" BBC Two's flagship 50-minute science documentary series).

Could anyone record this programme into a video file and put it on the Internet, so those of us who can't receive BBC Two can download it?
I can make a TV-rip if you like, won't be the best quality though..
Someone could record it and then post it on YouTube.
I would do but I do not posses the required hardware for this sort of activity sorry Sad
The BBC documentary on Temple Grandin has the title "The Woman Who Thinks Like a Cow".

Here is the programme description in the Radio Times:

"The incredible story of a real-life Dr. Doolittle - a woman who can read and understand animal behaviour like no one else. Although Temple Grandin is no mind-reader,  the explanation she has for her astonishing ability is no less intriguing:  she's convinced that her autistic brain allows her to experience the world as an animal does.  Labelled mentally disabled at three years old, and only learning to speak aged five, she's now an associate professor of animal science. This documentary follows her remarkable journey to global acclaim."

The reviewer writes in the Radio Times:

"Horizon returns with an unusually heart warming film about US animal welfare expert Temple Grandin.  She was born autistic  (and she's now a highly respected expert on the condition), something she argues gives her a unique feeling for how animals see the world.

I've lost count of how many films I've seen about autism, but this one has an edge, largely because Grandin manages to help us imagine what it would be like to live in autism's alternative reality - always looking for danger, transfixed by details, experiencing sensations with piercing intensity.  'Fear is my main emotion', she says.   'An awful lot of things I do, I'm just avoiding problems'.

My theory, for what it's worth, is that part of the appeal of these autism docs is that many of us like to think we can spot little bits of autistic-type thinking in ourselves (unless that's just me)."

The producer,  Emma Sutton, spent a month with Temple Grandin in the making of the documentary.

That would be great. Thank you

I'll get it online sometime Friday, I'll Sky+ it and have a search for my Tuner software Smile. Trying to make a collection of Autism related documentaries anyway, so will be good to add to it.
Could a link be posted here?  I'm sure there are several who would appreciate that
Could someone provide some webspace for me to put it on? I would put it on a free host, but they don't last long.. and my hosting account is rather low on space Sad.
You could put it on Google Video or YouTube.
I only caught the end 5 minutes or so Sad
Saw the second half of the show as I forgot it was on last night. It wasn't too bad.
hahaha, how about that silly title? would be fun to watch though i cant say i like that temple grandin represents us at all, she makes us all sound like aliens.
Sorry about the delay in getting it up, having some problems with my capping software.. should be up soon.
