I hate the taste of "light"/"diet"-stuff sweeteners, so far without a single exception. So when it comes to the light soda on your list, I agree. I like the standard Pepsi, however. As for the others on your list, I have yet to try them.
And can ANYONE explain to me the point of VANILLA Coke?! I mean, vanilla is wonderful in the right places, but it's been done to death as a household fragrance (those candles!), and now, vanilla COKE? I can't even bring myself to taste it because it's just plain wrong!
I did taste it, and it was fine.
Some of those soft drinks in the original post we don't have here this side of the pond.
But I do like Vanilla Coke. And I frequently burn vanilla candles. And "Vanilla Fields" is my favorite perfume.
Oh, and I prefer vanilla ice cream. With peanutbutter stirred in. However, if Nutella was less expensive here, I'd stir that in, instead.
Can anyone actually taste the difference between coke and pepsi? because i cant.
Pepsi is sweeter, and coke more fizzy. I don't really have a preference of one over the other.
Any soft drink with the word "diet" on the can or bottle usually tastes absolutely foul because of the aspartame sweetener used in them. The flavoured variants of coca cola don't taste too bad though
In short, "diet" = yuk
Seconded. Aspartame is foul. It has a nasty aftertaste that I can't stand especially much of.
Here "diet"-things are known as "light"-things, by the way. And new light-stuff appear rapidly. I had the misfortune of ending up having to use light-ketchup once, recently.
Coke sucks, you suck, everyone sucks apart from me, everyone elses opinion is wrong too.
Trolls need to apply in writing. Please pick up an application form at the office.
I took it as a joke. Afterall, this is the timeout section.
Diet cherry coke is the most evil drink ever.
I hate the taste of "light"/"diet"-stuff sweeteners, so far without a single exception.
Aspartame leaves a vile aftertaste in my mouth, everytime I've drank anything containing it I've gotten meds flashbacks. Same with splenda, only it reminds me a lot more of when my dog got sick and everything she ate made her vomit (she's fine today).
AS rootbeer is my favorite drink, I have resolutely refused to drink any diet version of it. And then last summer I went to a book store who sold it. As they only had one variety of rootbeer, I asumed it was safe, until I got outside and actually opened it. I sprayed it all over the pavement.
Waste of soda, waste of money. Waste of glass for the stupid bottle. Just the wrongness of it all

I can
This is wandering a bit, but has anyone ever tried rootbeer with cherry syrup in it? I used to get it at a bookstore I went to.
Battery Gingered? What the heck is that drink? I would seriously doubt that selling a drink with battery in the title, is a good marketing campaign.

Yes, Pepsi takes extremely foul to me like an acute sickly sweetness which makes me feel ill, I can only not detect them if alcoholic spirit has been added for some reason otherwise I can, I also find on odd occasions I havn't noticed the difference due to some other reason unknown :s
According to
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irn_Bru, Irn-Bru is available in the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland, Russia, Canada, much of Europe and in some parts of Australia and Singapore.
As for its taste and appearance, the thing it most closely resembles IMO is a medicine I had to take a lot for an embarrassing medical condition when I was much younger. Sickly sweet with a bitter aftertaste.
Check out the list of ingredients on the Wikipedia page! It makes Sunny Delight look like an Innocent smoothie.
Hmmmm, I wondered why I like it so much  (I hardly ever drink it at the moment, maybe I should drink more  )
So I did at lunchtime today, and I bought another can of it and put it in the fridge for later

(this was taken at lunchtime today, there is also an obvious alternative in the background, but I preferred something with a bit of flavour)
Christ, seriously, sunny "delight" theres nothing delightful about it, unless you are on the Monsanto board of CEOs and wish to dump some toxic waste on a third world country, ever drank that stuff then taken a leak? the smell, it comes back to haunt you
Sunny Delight is absolutely unhealthy, there probably isn't a single bit of fruit in it, it's full of E numbers and aimed a children, talk about bad, I'd rather have pure fruit juice myself
Lol, ain't gotta tell me twice about diet sweetners. I've got an allergy to aspartame, don't think I'm phenylketoneuric but I used to feel a twitching in the base of my head when I took any reasonably large amount of that stuff in and later on I'd just dumb out, couldn't think for anything and my social skills would be almost straight out the window. I've learned that Splenda isn't too bad and I don't get that effect from it, though I still avoid it because I'm wary about what else it might do. As for other stuff sugar alcohols - never had a problem, Ace K - I've got my suspicions that acefulmate potassium does something similar to me (got the same aspartame effect off of a can of Diet Rockstar which had no aspartame in it from what I could see on the back).
I think diet softdrinks taste just horrid and mostly are a waste of time, Would rather have fruit juice, milk , or regular soft-drinks, or water.
Vanilla Coke is okay and I think I'd like lime coke if it was available in the regular and not diet variety.
I tried some Pepsi Max yesterday but it almost made me throw up!
I don't care for regular Pepsi much either but like Solo and Mountain Dew.
The only cola I really liked was Schweppes Export Cola but that hasn't been sold here for many years. I like other varieties of Schweppes but also Wimmers and Kirks. Cottees were good but I think they have been bought out by a bigger company.
