In PE today, we were doing a recreational games thing. My group started with badminton, whjich went just fine. Then, when we rotated to volleyball, some NT girls on my side started telling me I wasn't playing right and making fun of my stimming. So I walked over to the doors out of the gym and sat down.

My point is that they were being ignorant. Good thing I have general music this Friday.

Does the teacher ever try to help Mich, you dont have to put up with teasing or bullying. Do you have a person at your school that can deal with that kind of thing?

My aide dealt with it. I hope they never tease me about being an aspie again. NTs. I knew I couldn't trust NTs my age with anything.

dont worry, they will work for you someday. and then u can make fun of them lol.

How do you stimm?
Don't worry about it, they're stuck up *****es who complain at anyone who isn't doing things just the way they want them to.

Of course, bring this up to them 10 years from now when they're bagging your groceries Big Grin.
My question--how do you know they were NT? In my experiences in EH classes, there's still a lot of taunting among non-NTs.
Who amongst us ever enjoyed the High School PE classes?  Horrendous!

But I have my revenge: not long ago there was a High School Reunion for my school - it's been nearly three decades since I left - and I found out that the so-called "popular" kids and the "jocks" had gone on to become mediocre at best in their fields and a lot of them were dissatisfied with the way their lives had gone.  My favourite?  One of the girls, voted "most pretty, most likely to succeed" etc, and who made my life a misery, had spent the last thirty years working in a canning factory in the town we went to school.  Her memorable quote was "expect nothing from life and you won't be disappointed."

Whereas the "nerdy" group I used to hang out with have gone on to have interesting jobs and fascinating experiences, maybe because we couldn't give a stuff about how society views us and tended to do our own thing.  I certainly love the fact that my science fiction, horror, and children's short stories have been published so many times, even though I'm no JKRowling, and can't make a living off of it!

Oh YES!  I LOVE going to my high school class reunions.    My life is soooo much better than what all those jocks and beauty queens ended up with!  BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!
I didn't go to my 10 year reunion because they wanted me to pay $75 for a single night. Even those who have gone to their reunions said that the price was too high. I was still a poor college student who couldn't afford to go. Now, I may attend my 20 year reunion as by then, I should have enough money and a good job. If I get a government job like I really want, I'll have benefits that my classmates may not. I will also likely have worked for the same agency for years while my classmates may have dealt with downsizing.
I would have benefitted greatly from physical education if the rules of the game had been explained to me and maybe some diagram was displayed so I could see it while I was on the court.

I told the teacher at the beginning of the year that I was not good at sports and my doctor had recommended that I take physical education for the health benefits.  The course emphasized obtaining personal physical fitness and not so much competitive sports although they were included.  You might be able to ask for a more "personal fitness" program.
Lauren's thrilled with the new school she'll be going to for Year 11 next year - we went to the information night this week and it turns out that Years 11 and 12 don't do PE!  It's more academically-minded.  I think that's one of the main reasons she's decided this school is for her - it's brand new in our area and will have small class sizes and a more university-style format of teaching.

I'm not surprised. A similar thing happened to me, I cannot serve a volleyball for my life. I also am afraid of being hit by a ball, much like the scenario in Azu Manga Daioh, where Chiyo-Chan and Osaka are trying to play catch. They both can't catch the ball, because they're too busy being afraid of being hit by it, and Chiyo gets hit by the ball and gets a huge volleyball shaped mark on her forehead.

I'd tell those girls, they can make fun of you all they want. They're the ones who are truely sick, needing to put others down to bring themselves up, like maggots.
No one is nice to anyone in high school.  It doesn't say anything about you; it reflects the insecurity in them.  High school kids try to build themselves up by cutting others down.  How I survived and even enjoyed those years I'll never know.  Being oblivious must have helped.

Loved the comment about getting back at them when they work FOR you some day.  Success is the best revenge.  It feels SO good!!!!

That's quite a rude thing to say. Especially for the fact that you dislike Neurotypical people simply on their normalness. You will find untrustworthy people with any mental condition or disability, or people with none at all. I find that quite offensive.

Can you bear in mind that Mich is a child, who is expressing herself about a bad experience.
As you are new can you please read this post concerning people's personal experiences and how they express it -

Well with high school, alot of NT kids aren't disciplined and do tend to mostly target those who are different, such a Aspie kids.

Here's an example. Let's say someone got a really bad bite from a dog as a child, and they feared dogs since. That's like what it is with being bullied by NTs on a daily bases.

When you fear someone, you tend to defend yourself by attacking them first in the hopes that they will be intimidated and not attack you. Alot of people after leaving high school who were Aspie were paranoid of NTs, because of the mistreatment they were allowed to inflict on them.

I hope this helps you understand more of a perspective like Mich's.
