I'm reading "Unwrtten Rules of Social Relationships: Decoding Social Mysteries Through the Unique Perspectives of Autism" by Dr. Temple Grandin and Sean Barron (who are both Aspies)

I'm also reading "A Dog's Mind" by Dr. Bruce Fogle (I'm actually re-reading it).
An odd mixture of WWII history and Tolkien.
I find Tolkien very comforting when I am worried and want to leave this planet for a while.
Can't find anything from Jonathan Kellerman lately--love his books; he is a PhD psychologist
Also burning up the computer while studying up on borderline personalities.

And grading about 1,500 "Indian Head" cents, which I would like to put on eBay, along with almost 6,000 wheat cents.
( How could anyone think that I am an Aspie?----snicker)
I am currently in the process of reading several books. The most notable are.

Mask Market, by Andrew H. Vachss. Crime fiction.
Murder and Madness, by Donald T. Lunde. Non fiction.
Likely to die, by Linda Fairstein. Crime fiction.
No Tears For Queers, by Johan Hilton. Non fiction. A swedish book about three men that got murdered just because they hit on hetero guys.

+ an unknown number of other books on different topics.

It has been like this for years. I can not just read one book at a time.
Next up is "Room Full of Mirrors, a biography of Jimi Hendrix, by Charles R. Cross.
One more day-Mitch Albom
Book of Lost Things(kind of horror/fantasy)-John Connolly
Coram Boy-Jamila Gavin
Nobody Nowhere-Donna Williams(autobiography of an autistic girl)
I'm reading The Last thing you can't do in heaven.
Book?

I was reading La casa de los espĂritus by Isabel Allende but I lost it, I should start looking for it.
The swedish title of that book by Isabel Allende is "Andarnas Hus". Yesterday I contemplated buying a used copy for the equivalent of two usdollar. I guess its english would be "House of Spirits", or something like that.

I'm currently reading "Room full of Mirrors", by Charles R. Cross. It's a biography of Jimi Hendrix. I don't think it's possible to write a better about Dear Old Jimi.
"The Children of the Sun - A study in the Early History of Civilization, by W.J. Perry. Published by Methuen & Co in 1923," is a book I'm not reading at the moment. It's very interesting and I study it from time to time
At the moment:

"Les Miserables" by Victor Hugo.  A translation, as I need to brush up on my French before reading the original.
"The Habsburgs: Embodying an Empire" by Andrew Wheatcroft, about the Austrian royal house.
"Holy Blood, Holy Grail" by Michael Baigent, Richard Leigh and Henry Lincoln, which I'm always in the middle of.
"The Uses of Enchantment" by Bruno Bettelheim, a fascinating psychological analysis of faerie tales.

<hugs>  You guys have great taste.

Athie
Well, I just lately finished reading "Eldest" a fanatasy book by Christopher Paolini (the first book is "Eragon"). I loved both books, and I can't wait to read the 3rd.
I'm reading Primate Psychology (edited by Dario Maestripieri).
I'm reading "Killer: A journal of murder", based on Carl Panzram's own auto-biographical work that he wrote in prison before he was executed. A guard by the name of Henry Lesser provided pens and papers, which was forbidden. It then took 40 years before a published dared to publish the material. It was later filmed, starring James Woods as Carl.
I'm reading this thread.
"Likely to die" by Linda Fairstein.

& Samuel; what about Flann O'Brian?

What if being aspergian is only another way of saying "being Irish"!? You could be on to something here...
I'm currently feeding the mental monsters with:

"Floating Dragon" - Peter Straub. More gutbucket-horror than psychological but very good
and
"Angry Candy" - Harlan Ellison.  Not only am I in love with what this guy does with words, I suspect he's one of us....maybe not Aspie, but he's sure as hell not NT Big Grin
