I will, but I am not sure how effective it would be since most of the people visiting ours site are already interested in nerodiversity and probably allready agree with this. Preaching to the choir to use a old cliche.
On July 8th and 9th, there will be an online protest against the prenatal Autism test which has been developed and is becoming more and more acurate every day.
The Autistic comunity is horrified and frightened by the threat this test poses. Based on the Down's syndrome test, we believe that it is very likely the results of this test will, in most cases, be used to determine whether or not to abort the child. This would lead to genocide of Autistics.
Autism is often misrepresented as being a horrible mental disorder which makes it impossible for the child involved to have a happy life, and is also imposibly hard on the parents. This simply is not true. Most cases of Autism are not as severe as most people seem to think, and the only barrier to an autistic child's happiness is misunderstanding and mistreatment. There is absolutely no way to justify the genocide of Autistics.
We at Aspies For Freedom are proud of who and what we are, and we are determined to show the world that those with Autism are not monsters, are not helpless, and are not going to lie down and take this mistreatment.
On July 8th and 9th, show your support by posting the following banners on your personal websites, your blogs, and on every forum you visit.
I posted this in the Interfaith/Interculture forum at SheroesCentral, which is ENORMOUS. I'm sure lots of people will see it, and they tend to be very nice, open, intelligent people, so I'm sure they will be glad to help!
I hope the message I wrote is good, I was afraid I over-simplified and messed up, but I wanted to keep it short and fierce without being confusing. What do you think?
You misspelt "accurate", "community" and "impossibly".

Oh, pooh. I guess I DO need more spelling lessons after all... It's those silly double letters, they always mess me up.
But as for the message itself?
Maybe someone should post something on myspace. That's pretty popular, especially with teenagers. Anyone here have a myspace account?
I think there's something to be said for offline action, even if it's not an actual protest. You could just print out some copies of the prenatal test banner and hang them up on lampposts or something.
Wow that sucks pre natal testing. When i was pregnant i didnt even have the test that detects for downs syndrome. Because i knew that no matter what i would still love my children anyways. So i defo dont agree with pre natal testing for autism.
 Argh, I don't believe it! Somehow everything I said in that post on SheroesCentral was twisted and warped and everyone is arguing now over:
1: Whether killing Autistics is *technically* genocide
2: Whether or not abortion is bad
3: Whether or not the test actually exists (since none of them have been able to find out about it from other sources)
4: Whether or not people would actually abort all autistic children (actually, they all seem to agree that people wouldn't)
STUPID NTS!!!!!!
I don't think most of these people would be taking the test, they are mostly teens I think.
But it bothers me how they latch onto the technicalities and the abortion issue and ignore the larger issue, the mistreatment of Autistics.
