Well this is shooking. Oh much hatred can people harbor anyway? Do they have nothing better to do than kill their own children? So unreasonable...
The true horror of their 'Autism every day' video is now being shown when it is being used as a reason for parents to kill autistic children.
The murder of Katherine McCarron, three years old, and autistic was shocking and unbelievably cruel. She was suffocated with a plastic bag by her own mother.
Anyone who has seen the video will know that it shows a mother talking about how she considered killing her own autistic child.
Now we have a murder of an autistic being attempted to be show sympathetically by use of the video.
I think that just about shows that the so called normal people of the world have more trouble with empathy and theory of mind than autistics do.
How sad that something like this could happen in this day and age. I can't imagine what that girls lasts thoughts were.
On the off chance, is there any chance at all the people who made this or the company could be charged with unintentional incitement to murder or something along those lines, or does it fall short of the requierments? I bet some parents out there could be easily swayed by talk of this sort of thing. I don't know much about law at all though, even less about the American version, so am I just being naive? Any thoughts?
It would be tricky to prove mens rea on that. Would probably be a friviolous lawsuit which would cost a lot for both parties. Of course, I rather like the idea of them losing lots of money in legal costs regardless of if they are found innocent, as well as the obvious PR reasons.
Who's got the money?
How much money are we talking about exactly?
