I don't know if they would, but google is pretty socially liberal, so there's a chance they might. It would be a nice idea! And it's a pretty intuitive logo change.
Good idea! APD has the most chance I think - imagine the oo of google as an infinity sign!
Can everyone email to ask for this it might just work
What email address are you sending this request to? we should all send to the same place I imagine..
Thats really good.
I'd recommend sending it via postal mail in addition to submitting an email suggestion. We are more likely to get this to happen if it's sent in the name of an organization, with the image already designed. To find out who to address it to, whoever is sending the letter should call the number and try to find a name of who considers these matters, otherwise odds are it will end up in someone's junk mail pile.

I just had a response from google regarding this:

Thank you for your suggestion regarding an Autistic Pride Day logo. We enjoy celebrating holidays at Google and, as you may imagine, it's difficult for us to choose which events to celebrate on our site. We have a long list of holidays that we'd like to celebrate in the future. We have to balance this rotating calendar with the need to maintain the consistency of the Google homepage.
While we can't comment on logos that we may or may not display in the future, some holidays that we haven't celebrated in the past will be rotated into our holiday doodles for future years. Please remember you can visit any of our doodles at
http://www.google.com/holidaylogos.html
We appreciate your feedback, and we'll keep it in mind for the future.
Regards,
The Google Team
So it seems they may consider it for future rotation, perhaps next year if not this year.
Just getting a response from most large companies is a miracle in itself, so good job

Your letter must have been more inspiring than mine hehe
I think this is a fantastic idea. Let's keep asking!
I got the same response also. Least they look at their mail.

Or have some sort of automation that looks like they read it.
I honestly think that it could be a little too early to do anything like this.
I don't think it's too early.
Heh, someone at the chat thinks Microsoft is the evil empire and Google the savior.
Heh, someone at the chat thinks Microsoft is the evil empire and Google the savior.
that person is ignorant.
they are both evil empires.
Well stated
.
I won't derail the thread other than this one comment:
Google don't have an illegal monolopy
And next:
G∞gle (if your browser supports unicode properly you'll see that nicely)
