Of course what I meant to say was that I understand why people react the way they do to the word cancer, but I don't see why they can't just use a little rational thought instead.
Mind you, considering the criticism of Facilitated Communication (nice link, M) I now think trying to improve the way it's written is like polishing a turd.

Slippery slope arguments rarely, if ever, work. If there's eugenics it'll be because we can pick and choose traits, not because of the analogies we draw. Having said that, it may well influence the choices we make.
