Well, just got home from the meeting today and thought it would be a good idea to give a kind of "report":
4 Students from the college turned up to the meeting today at 1pm and then after the introductions we started.
Since one of the main aims of the offline groups is social - I started by asking everyone to introduce themselves and their interests. The idea was to find some common interest.
Following this, we found that a common interest was music and that everyone present played instruments. So, we decided to form a band for the social side of the group.

Hi Gareth,
this might have been a while ago, but how did the group progress?
At a College like mine, pure statistics tell me that there must be at least half a dozen aspies. I've thought about putting up some posters à la "Got AS?" which would have surely caught their attention and start a group, however, I haven't had the guts to do it. Could you let me know how your group is going, and what kind of activities you're doing? Alternatively, I've long thought about founding the "Society for the Seriously Interested", which would be a transdisciplinary society probably attractive to aspies as well as NTs, where members could share there special academic interests without being called nerds. Maybe I'll go ahead with either of the two next year.

The group operated during college term time. Since college ended last month it is currently not operating but I will restart the group with newcomers during september.
