Cure Stupidity NOW
I have chosen only to become a member of this page for one purpose, that is to defend the fact that my fiance NEEDS NO CURE. The only cure that is needed is for society to GROW up and learn to deal with people's neurodiversity. If my fiance did not have AS, he would not have the intelligence he did in order to achieve what he has become. Socials skills are the least of his worries. Although to some neurotypical people they may find the way autistic people act to be embarrassing, and rude....TOUGH that's the way they are in order to deal with the World of confusion around them. Walk a mile in their shoes and I guaratee you will take a different stand point on things. If I marry him soon, and bare autistic children then so be it. I will not change them to suit MY needs; it's not about me...it's about helping them adapt to the world as best as they can. I would not even test myself if there even was such a thing to abort a child because they have autism. People who have plans to do this should have been aborted before they we're born. The man I love is not a pawn in a game of finding cures, or making him to be into something that society "labels" as abnormal. Society and people are the things that need to change.

I know the woman who wrote this, I've had some discussions with her on my blog. She and her fiance, Roman, broke up in September and he has been pestering her since then. According to her own blog, she's not so accepting of AS any longer!
Thats a shame, she posted on our guestbook and seems very supportive.
Wonder if they will get back together and its just a lover's tiff?
