I appreciated the shortened version on Autism News

(which oddly enough was the old name for the Autism Victoria magazine. It is now called The Spectrum
You should see the ones on the real thing.

Maybe you could give a talk at the Annual General Meeting and see the Glen Iris office. They are going to have a new Spectrum-coloured sign.

It's simple. You could talk to Amanda Golding - or we might have established the Melbourne arm of Aspies for Freedom then.

I wish you could come to Australia and see our services and what we are doing as, for, with autistic and Asperger people.

In the meantime we will send you pictures and words of Scienceworks.

Being one of the two main events for Autistic Pride Day is a big responsiblity.

Could you give us subpages please? And the German camp too?

And we are still trying to work out a schedule of events. There's less than a month to go. I thought people might like to eat and drink, wander around the Gasworks, play in the playground and see exhibitions. I did not think of a lecture hall. And the Western Autistic School is in the region. Perhaps students and teachers could join us. I wonder if they'd behave on Monday when they've been to Scienceworks on Sunday! I'm sure ... maybe all the autistic schools in Melbourne could have a school excursion on the day after Autistic Pride Day. I'll have to talk to my contacts. The one that is closest to me is in the Eastern Region, and the Pakenham people will have contacts in the Southern Region, like Statewide Autistic Services.

There should be a form and I don't know about collecting people's details. Should people just come ad hoc or find a meeting place? (eg. a lecture room? I don't know if there are any of THOSE at Scienceworks, but people could use the planetarium and we could arrive in time for a show).

Like I said, this is the first major event in Australia for Autistic Pride Day and I want it to be a happy and proud experience for everybody.

I've just joined ANI-L at long last (I'd known about them since 1994 and Donna Williams' second book) and I might ask some advice. Do you think I should? Because Jim Sinclair and the others are experienced in organising events. I was able to help Jim with my knowledge of Open Source software as he is making and backing up a new database.

There are so many plans in Victoria for Autism Awareness Week which is on Sunday 14th to the 20th. The main activity will be Puffing Billy at Belgrave.
