Auties.org supported by Alpha Autism have Autism-friendly film and social night is happening the first Saturday of the month in
Port Melbourne (yes, here in Victoria, Australia) 6pm-8.30pm (people can leave earlier if they wish).

Cost is free but the group will likely buy take away food to eat back to the venue and those attending
are welcome to bring their own food, drink and short DVDs they might like to watch with the group, a game
or anything they'd like to share with others.

The night is run entirely by those on the spectrum who attend.
There are two rooms available so those not interested in the DVD can chat, play games or have time on their own in the other room.

Those interested, please contact Graham for details:

Thank you Kenneth.

I really want to come. I'll talk with my family.

Actually on second thoughts:

I attend a poetry reading in the Hills from 3 to 5 pm on the first Saturday every month except for January.
I'd love to go, but it's a bit far from me: I live in Canberra.  I think it's about a nine-hour one way trip by car, and too expensive by plane in my current mortgage-challenged situation!  But it's good to know about.  I'll see if I can find anything similar going on in my local area.
Thanks for posting it - BTW, how did you hear about it?
